06:41 AM ET 03.26 | New Jersey Nets principal owner Bruce Ratner has dismissed comments from renowned architect Frank Gehry, suggesting that the proposed Atlantic Yards project in Brooklyn is dead. Ratner said today that Gehry -- whose involvement in the design plans for the Nets basketball arena and housing at the site has been touted by the Nets for five years -- was too pessimistic. Ratner, still battling an eminent domain lawsuit against the project, says that his company will break ground on the arena this summer and that the Nets will move to Brooklyn in 2011. But the tight credit markets and languishing economy have led to widespread doubts that the project is feasible.
