Why top recruit may pass on Jayhawks

05:52 AM ET 04.02 | Lincoln Star Lance Stephenson has said repeatedly that he will end up at one of three places in the fall: Kansas, Maryland or St. John's. But with yesterday's official news that John Calipari has left Memphis and is headed to Kentucky, that list could change. Xavier Henry, who chose Memphis over Kansas and signed with the Tigers in November, asked for his release from his letter of intent yesterday. If he ends up choosing the Jayhawks, it may have an impact on whether Stephenson goes to Kansas, because they are similar players. Both were in Miami last night, playing in the McDonald's All-American Game. Stephenson scored 12 points for the East team, who won 113-110. Henry scored 16 for the West.

LMAO. St. John's isn't exactly dumbsville, though.

I did not like the way Lance carries himself on the court. He is talented, but needs some work with his ball handling and rebounding. He is athletic, but can definitely use a good coach like Bill Self to mold him. However, Gary W. will do an even better job with him as UMD needs a strong off guard.

QUOTE(#12):

Every player I saw last night was impressive, some extremely so. Lance was no exception. Kids nowdays have such good offensive skills and athleicism.

I was really impressed with John Henson, UNC has struck gold in last year's class and in this one.
