Tar Heels don't like Ford Field court

North Carolina coach Roy Williams is pretty used to the Final Four stage. It's just the court at Ford Field he has to worry about. The Tar Heels played on the raised hardwood when it blew out Michigan State in Detroit in December. Williams spent a portion of the first half down in front of the bench, meaning "you're sitting there looking a people's shinbones." He eventually moved up to stand on the elevated court, meaning his assistant coaches looked at his shinbones. "It did take me until after the second TV timeout to be comfortable with what I could see,'' he said. "Tom [Izzo] brought a chair up and sat it on the court level ... and I didn't want to do that; I like to sit down a lot. I was not comfortable, I couldn't see the far end of the court, what I really wanted to see. Most of the time, after the second TV timeout, I stayed up on the court level." Williams said that playing at that venue already this season, though, doesn't necessarily give his team any advantage. The Tar Heels play Villanova in the national semifinals on Saturday.

It's a shame that Villanova is not playing on the same court, so I get how unfair it must be for Nova to have that advantage. Roy is right to complain. It's a conspiracy that includes forcing him to put his hat on like a stupid wannabe.

Mr. Baitor, Roy did not say anyone had an advantage on it, he just said he didn't like it. It really isn't that hard to understand.

That would be sarcasm. The point being, they are both playing on the same court. He's too good to be whining about the court layout.

Don't get to up set NC your only going to play one game on it.

I don't think Roy is really worried about the court. He is probably pissed that being on that court, means he is stuck in Detroit for a few days.

That I can understand and sympathize with.

Charlotte Observer Sports Page Editor (Duke Grad- Stansfield Ellington III) to NCAA Basketball columnist (NC State Grad - Jimmy Houdyshelt).

"Hey Jimmy, we need to run a piece on the crappy floor in Detroit. Can you get a couple of whinny sounding quips from Roy on this? And while your at it, see if you can dig up an old pic that really makes him look like a Dee Bag."

Jimmy responds: "I'm on it, Boss!"

Yeah, I'm sure that at his age he's trying to act like a young punk, looking like a jackass. Wannabee what? Idiot? When people where their hats like that they think they're cool, or original. ROTFLMAO. You just look like a fool.

You are a dumbass. What advantage are you talking about and can you give us the exact wording Roy Williams used to describe the court?

No - I didn't think so.
