07:14 AM ET 04.10 | Former Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens talked to reporters in Buffalo on Thursday after surprisingly showing up for off-season workouts with the Bills. He also surprisingly took the high road when asked about Troy Aikman's recent endorsement of the Cowboys decision to release him last month. "That's fine. Troy's Troy," Owens said. "I think he has three Super Bowl rings so he has the authority to say that. So other than that, I'm fine. I've been called selfish pretty much throughout my career. I think I'm in good company. Jerry Rice has been called selfish before, as well as a number of other guys. You know, I'm still probably going to be called selfish. So other than that, it doesn't bother me what he says. "I come from a background where I wasn't even thinking about getting drafted. I went to a small school. So the things I've accomplished so far really eclipses anything negative that anybody says about me. So he said it, and I move on." Owens also continues to be buoyed by the support he has received from his many teammates in Dallas. It's one reason Owens said he doesn't need to explain himself to this new teammates in Buffalo. He said most of the negativity about his three years in Dallas came from the media.

This is the first thing (literally) out of the big mouth of TO that I can comment negatively on. Okay - at least for the moment.

Not to mention his work ethic matched Walter Payton's.

You do know that Jerry Rice was the biggest whiner in football when the ball wasn't coming his way, don't you? Just ask Steve Young,or anybody who covered the Niners back during the Rice years.

And nobody bashes Owens work ethic,he's one of the hardest workers in football.

I don't get it really. You got guys like Randy Moss, who will basically quit on you if it isn't going his way,and the majority of you don't seem to have a problem with it. Yet Owens, who goes out and plays hard week in and week out is raked over the coals for speaking his mind. There's something wrong with that.

What I find funny is,if Owens was such a bad seed in Dallas, how come all of the Dallas players the media has talked to have said the guy was a great teammate. If he was as bad as people make him out to be,then somebody would have ripped him a new one. Hell, even Jason Witten said good things about him and he's the guy Owens "alledgedly" had the problem with. And I say alledgedly because I think if Owens had a problem with Witten he wouldn't have had a problem going on camera and saying it. We wouldn't have heard it from some cowardly unnamed source,we'd have heard it straight from Owens.

dude the guy got into it with his qb just like he did in philly just like he did in sf...9 out of 10 times the team is going to side with the qb its just the nature of the sport...

So the poo-poo is Dallas??

Great analogy!

I'm ok with this comment from TO, he recognizes Troy's authority on all things Cowboys, since he was the last QB they could win with. Maybe it will be a good decision, or maybe it's gonna expose Romo as the less than accurate, horrible game manager he is. But TO, you're wearing the red white and blue of the BUFFALO BILLS, so there's nothing but calm seas ahead........AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I'm a lifelong Bills fan, but man, I'll give it 3 weeks before he says "wow, what was I thinking?"

April 10, 2009  09:00 AM ET

As a Cowboy fan that has follwed the team since day zero, I am glad to see that the cancer known as TO has been removed from the team. He has been bad news on every team he has played for, it will not be any different in Buffalo. I thinks its fitting that he has signed with a team like the Bills since they are not going anywhere in the AFC East so he can finish his career with a loser and finally be forgotten. Beside the Buffalo fans , who gives a crap what happens in upstate New York

When did he get into it with Romo? When did he bash him? He didn't. T.O's departure from Dallas stems from him "alledgedly" being jealous of Jason Witten. Was Owens best friends with Romo,no he wasn't. Did he come out and throw the guy under the bus,no he didn't. So I don't know where you're getting "he got into it with the qb" from. Hell as far as we know Owens didn't get into it with anybody. All we got to go on is what the unnamed source said. Does that mean it went down the way the source said it went down? No,maybe that's just how the source saw it. Me,personally I have a hard time believing something from a person who isn't even man enough to own up to what's he's saying. But that's just me.
