Numminen's last game with Sabres?
Teppo Numminen couldn't say for sure if today might be his last National Hockey League game. But 21 years and 1,371 games after his debut with the old Winnipeg Jets, it's very possible the 40-year-old defense-man will take the ice for the final time when the Sabres host Boston in HSBC Arena. "A lot of things have happened the last couple of years and you've got to step back and gather your thoughts, talk with your family and see where you want to go," Numminen said Friday following an optional skate in the Amherst Pepsi Center. "You need more time to put it all together and make those decisions." Numminen has played 56 games this year in a bounceback season after heart surgery in September 2007. The team's Masterton Trophy nominee, he has two goals, 14 assists and a minus-6 rating.

I am surprised afinogenov didn't work there. I thought that was a good sign when they got him. Maybe he will work out somewhere else.
