08:27 AM ET 04.14 | College kids aren't supposed to be able to see past tomorrow or think past the next text message. On Monday night, when Sherron Collins and Cole Aldrich announced that they will return to Kansas next season, they set themselves apart. "I want to do a lot of things that very few people have done," Aldrich said. "Sherron and I talked about this. We could be those special names in Kansas history that all the little kids look up to." Collins and Aldrich, KU's star players from a team that won the Big 12 championship and made the Sweet 16, consulted each other in making their NBA decisions. They decided the chance to win a second national championship and see their names hanging from the rafters in Allen Fieldhouse was too good an opportunity to pass up. "We really just wanted the best for each other," Aldrich said. "We both thought the best for each other was to stick around one more year and play the game we really love playing."

LOL @ Hov, you tell'em. NY= Tons of publicity & marketing. It's funny as hell to me that Kansas fans prefer Lance over Xavier. I think Xavier would be a better fit for the Jayhawks and more of a team player whereas Lance is gonna want/need a ton of minutes and the offense will have to run through him for him to be successful, that ain't gonna happen at Kansas. It probably be best if he chose the Johnnies and X chose Kansas. The look on Jayhawk fans faces if they get neither would be priceless, though. Also, I think Lance may be added incentive for NY recruits to stay home ONLY if he stays in school more than a year. To get guys to stay at home Rev. Donald and co. are gonna have to open that wallet and bring in a big name coach who knows the area. 1 player who doesn't plan on staying to get his degree isn't gonna help you in the long run.

Beat the snot out of us? Please. Maybe early in the season. But KU had the game up until the end during the tourney. They were up by 5 with a couple minutes left Homer...

QUOTE(#9):

Look, Xavier Henry has two parents who played with Kansas. If he calls Bill Self and says that he wants to go to Kansas, why would Self turn him down? Lance isn't going to commit to the Jayhawks until Xavier decides where he wants to go to school and that would be a smart decision on Lance's part.Look, I know Lance isn't going to change St. Johns drastically on the win count but you have to understand that the Johnnies are traditionally a solid program that has lost out on City recruits. Lance signing would be a symbolic move on the history of the program. He could be a savior type, instead of just being another cog in a winning machine. I'm not knocking Kansas at all but why be ordinary where he could be the face of New York City.

Amen...I would much rather have Xavier Henry than Stephenson. Though I heard Stephenson wouldnt mind playing w/Henry....Which I find doubtful. It would be nice if we landed them both and still have a shot at John Wall. The chances of nailing all three though is very doubtful. Rock Chalk!

Right and thats why Alrdich is compared to I dont know.....Kevin McHale! Most had him projected as a low end lottery pick and he is only a sophmore w/really only one real year of playing time. Dont hate, because recruits from Cal go NOWHERE. Who cares anyways, the NBA sucks.

Snot? I'll take a mostly Frosh. and Sophomore team losing in the final minutes by single digits to the national semifinalist, WITH the bulk of the roster returning anyday....

Then I guess it must haven KU that UNC hammered in the champ game. Very odd of me to think it was MSU.
