Ump claims Bradley bumped him

One of the umpires working Thursday's Cardinals-Cubs game reportedly said he intends to inform the Commissioner's Office there was physical contact involved in Milton Bradley's ejection, meaning Bradley could be subject to a suspension. The Chicago Tribune reported late Thursday night that second-base umpire Larry Iassogna said a report would be filed because it was a "contact" incident. Bradley was ejected in the sixth inning by home-plate umpire Larry Vanover after a called third strike and a brief but heated verbal exchange. Iassogna declined comment when asked how Bradley made contact with Vanover, the Tribune reported.

Why am I not surprised. Milton Bradley having a mental meltdown? Next article should be about the sun rising in the east and setting in the west.

Bradley complaining about a bump from teh ump?

ROFL - that's classic, what goes around, comes around Milton!

Enjoy your day off.

After watching the video on this,I think it's kinda weak that the ump is filing a complaint about that. Seriously, the brim of the guys helmet touched the brim of the umps hat. And he's gonna file a complaint about that? Give me a break.

No,what's classic is you totally misreading what was written there. Milton isn't doing the complaining. It's this ump whos mad because Bradleys helmet touched his hat.

Good morning all...
Last night I commented on two posts, quoted the original ones and both of mine got deleted but the original ones did not. I didn't say anything near as bad as the original posters. I think the mods hate me...

Aw, geez, poor Mr. Umpire got TOUCHED by a baseball player. Maybe he was mad because nobody held the door open for him enroute to his locker. Billy Martin, Lou Piniella, Casey Stengel et al had altercations with umps, even kicking dirt on the men in black back when the word "****' wasn't around to adequately define a whimpering breed.

With a rep like Bradleys you don't need get any benefit of doubt.

Why am I not surprised?

When are sports going to rein in the certified wackos? There are those who are powder kegs with lit fuses just waiting to go pop. Oh no, if they have athletic talent let them play and just make excuses for them. Take erasers and clean off the miserable tatoos and get psychiatric help for the rest. It was just a matter of time until Bradley exploded. What's new?
