Drury still day-to-day

Another day, another day-to-day pronouncement regarding the status of Chris Drury, who missed the Rangers' Game 1, 4-3 victory on Wednesday with an undisclosed injury. Drury did not say what exactly is getting better, but he seemed to have no trouble skating in yesterday's optional practice. It's more likely than not that Drury has been sidelined by a wrist or hand injury he sustained blocking a shot during a Garden victory over the Flyers on April 9.

He'll get the two away games off - especially now that they've already taken one of them - and be back in the lineup at home. That is, unless they get home up 2-0, which would give them the luxury of being able to give him even more time to heal...

Might as well let Drury sit, they're playing the Caps and will probably win in 5. The Caps are frauds and will lose yet again in the first round. Karma for acting the way they do when the score a goal.

I cant believe that your GM gave Redden a contract of 6.5 million per year. Simply unbelievable. You guys are stuck with him till your GM buys him out.

Yes, God forbid anyone get excited about scoring a goal in the playoffs...

Wait, refresh my memory, which one of those Rangers did the ol' "slam into the glass with happiness" routine after scoring in that game? Aside from Ovechkin's theatrics against Tampa Bay, which were stupid but I still maintain were a sarcastic response to Don Cherry (who has little room to be dissing flamboyance, incidentally), Ovie's celebrations are no more over the top than any other young guy's.

When Crosby, or Gomez, or even Malkin pulls a Barry Sanders and skates off to the bench immediately after scoring, handing thepuck back to the ref on the way, sitting downand acting like nothing more happened than he just came off shift, THEN you can criticize Ovechkin (and everyone else, including the guys you root for) for over-celebrating. Otherwise, try looking with an objective eye next time, read the history behind what the players mean with their "antics," and for God's sake, find something legitimate to criticize (like hitting a guy in the nads from behind...Sorry, Armed and Dangerous, but I had to go there! Still much love! :0) )

hopefully drury comes back for game 2, i would feel much more comfortable with him in the lineup over voros. if the rangers can steal another one in washington i think this series is over for the caps. especially with the way the rangers played on home ice this season. big game on sat.

Everybody day-to-day when you really think about it.

They survived w/o him Game 1. HOPEFULLY (but not optimistic) they can do it again for Game 2. Go Rangers (again, just rooting for now).
