There is life for Oklahoma men's basketball after Blake Griffin. North Crowley product Willie Warren, who showed flashes of becoming a dominant offensive player as a freshman, text messaged the Oklahoman that he plans to return for his sophomore season. Warren had said several times that he planned to remain in college for at least one more year, although some NBA Draft websites wondered if he might be wavering. The message seems clear: "Yes that's true," Warren wrote when asked if he were staying, according to the Oklahoman.

Good move. Draft is deep in guards and he gets to go back to Oklahoma and work with another big man in incoming freshman Tiny Gallon.

I thought his choice of Oklahoma was a good one. It's close to his home (less than a 4 hour drive) and it's a great program for development. North Crowley HS gets a lot of press coverage (down here - lots of hype for N. Crowley, FW Dunbar and Dallas schools in the media) and it's easy for this to go to a kid's head. He made a smart choice with Oklahoma and another smart choice returning for his sophomore year.
