Caps leaning toward Theodore?

Bruce Boudreau implied, hinted and insinuated that Jose Theodore will be in goal today when the Washington Capitals play host the New York Rangers in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series. The only thing the coach didn't do is say it outright. "You'll see it in the warmup," Boudreau said. "But look at me. It's not a big surprise. Theo's our No. 1 goalie." So it's safe to assume Theodore is playing, right? "It's never safe," Boudreau replied, "to assume anything." Boudreau hadn't informed either goalie of his decision as of yesterday's practice, saying he'll do when he feels it's appropriate. Theodore interpreted the no news as good news.

It's one game, no reason to panic yet. If Theodore comes up with just one or two of those saves at the right time, this isn't an issue.

None of the goals were that bad....the first one by Gomez was bad, but the rest you couldn't blame him. The rest were all top corner and a few screens, he didn't play good but he didn't play as bad as everyone is saying he did.

3 of those goals were THAT bad..

he wasn't hugging his posts, and was frazzled...he makes 2 saves he knows he could make, they win game 1.

As evidenced by Game 2, yes they are. And you have to give Lundqvist his props for inciting that panic. We'll see if Boudreau can calm them down and make them play as a more cohesive unit but the odds are long on us taking this series now.
