Sources: Stephen Curry to enter draft

Sources close to the situation tell us that Stephen Curry will call a press conference shortly to announce he is putting his name in the draft. From what we understand, it's very likely he keeps it in too. Curry looks like a pretty solid bet to get drafted somewhere in the 8-15 area, with teams like the Knicks, Nets and Suns currently looking to be the most interested amongst that group. Curry very much wants to graduate from Davidson, and this decision wasn't an easy one as you can probably tell by how long it took, but at the end of the day, the NBA was too enticing an option considering where his draft stock is at at the moment, and how stacked next year's draft is already shaping up to be.

Definitely time for him to go. Can't see him doing much more in college than he already has. Can't risk injury here.

Yawn.

He's got nothing left to prove. Strike while the iron is hot.

Great. Another underclassman entering the draft.... There's a few million bucks and a seat on the bench waiting for him somewhere, I'm sure.

Hello JJ Redick.

April 20, 2009  09:57 AM ET

He might as well go, but I'm doubtful on his impact as a pro. I just don't see him as an NBA point guard.

is isn't the injurys....
it's that he gets exposed if he stays any more.
He should've gone last year where he may have been a top pick.

I don't think he'll be a good pro....and I wouldn't take him in the lottery, but he would be a good pick up late 1st round/2nd round.

April 20, 2009  11:38 AM ET

he'll get his shots

April 20, 2009  12:17 PM ET

He'll get a few mil, sit on the bench a lot, maybe play in year 2 or 3. Not a bad life.

Great competitor. Saw him put up 44 here in Norman. They should call him the ghost judging by how our guys guarded him (or didn't guard him). With his speed and agility it's always a case of "now you see him, now you don't." I hope he does well, but his size may be a major issue in the NBA.

pure shooter but yeah his flaws are way to easy to expose but he will be a great role player like a hubert davis kinda guy i wouldnt leave him wide open

Hello JJ Redick.

He can handle the rock, no comparison.

April 20, 2009  03:58 PM ET

He's better than his dad, and his dad had a sold 16-year NBA career as a sharpshooter off the bench. Steph will do fine. I see him being a Reggie Miller-type player.

his dad was one of the best shooters the game has seen, lets
first see if he'll be able to even get his hsot off at the NBA level.....

Reggie miller??
Miller was like a half-a foot taller than him-
he'll never come close to miller

He's STILL growing. After his injury scare, the x-rays revealed his bones hadn't sealed yet. They think he might put on as many as three more inches.

without a doubt another JJ Redick, bet this time a younger version. He is the other half of Redick it would take them both combine to be a all start in this league.

The right call on him.

Are they going to continually show his mom and dad in the stands during NBA games? Oh, who cares...nobody watches anyway.

This report popped up yesterday, but was debunked by his Dad. He says it's just the DraftExpress's way to get traffic. No decision has been made yet.
