You look at what they have on defense, they are championship caliber. You look at what they have on offense, and their running game is championship caliber, but their passing is High School JV. Jackson should improve, but all his receivers are pretty blah. Berrian is a speedster, but he isn't well rounded enough to be a #1. He's a #2. They could make the Super Bowl, but there offense needs to become more balanced if they even want to sniff the Super Bowl. Even in the NFC.
Posted Tuesday June 10, 2008, About: Redskins ask Portis to change ways
Someone should ask the Redskins to change their ways. I've never seen a team blow so much money and get so much hype, and totally underperform.
Posted Monday June 09, 2008, About: Colts rookie: NFL isn't so tough
If it's not that tough, and your a sixth rounder, then you aren't trying hard enough. Then he again, he was drafted by the Colts, who have one of the most laid back atmospheres in the league.
Posted Sunday June 08, 2008, About: Mayweather signing with UFC?
This article is bogus. He wouldn't pull in the same dollars from an MMA pay-per-view as he would in Boxing. The only reason people would turn in to see him fight in MMA is to see him get beat down. Which is why so many people also pay $60 to watch him fight as a boxer. Except he would get beat down, because most of those fighters like to tie up, choke each other out, and kick the crap out of each other. He's not trained to fight like that, and the second someone takes him down he would be finished. This is a dumb article, and he won't get the same money and he will lose. This isn't WWE yet, where it's fake and they fix the matches; so he isn't going to risk the damage fighting in the octagon can do to him physically and professionally. If anything, he's going to promote fights; and he might take on jobs in sports entertainment or just in entertainment.
Posted Sunday June 08, 2008, About: Henne in mix for Fins starting job
Everyone is in the mix for QB, they are even giving the ball boy and equipment manager a look. Is this even news? If they drafted a QB in the 6th round instead of Henne, he'd probably be in the mix too.
Posted Sunday June 08, 2008, About: Heat listening to trade offers
I'm surprised that the Bulls don't attempt to trade one of their high pick PF's that haven't exactly panned out and draft Beasley. Hinrich is still young and is a quality starting PG in this league. If you draft Rose you have to get rid of him. They trade Noah or Thomas, assuming they draft Beasley 1 (which they probably won't) and they could easily get a late lottery or mid first round pick. Douglas Roberts and Rush should both be available at 15, and would be the taller 2 guard that the Bulls desperately needed. If they keep Ben Gordon, both those players would help out significantly coming off the bench. There really isn't a PF outside of Beasley that can do all the things that he can do with a basketball, and PF is the 2 weakest position in the NBA, next to Center. There just isn't a lot of great PF's in the league anymore. Getting one that can score in the paint and make an open jumper can open up every one elses game. Rose will be better than Hinrich, but the Bulls will need some front court scoring more at this point.
Posted Sunday June 08, 2008, About: Pistons interested in Carmelo?
I think the Pistons would have to give up a lot more then people think for Anthony. They are a veteran team, and their top players are all around 30 or older. Wallace is starting to slow down, and he isn't as aggressive as he used to be. Plus he hangs around the 3 point line most of the time. He's a 4, not a 2; that's unacceptable for a 4. Prince is their youngest starter. If the Nuggets trade Nene and Melo for Wallace and Prince they will get older and less athletic. Sure it might make them a better team, but it won't make them championship good, and they lose their upside; because Melo hasn't even reached his prime yet and Nene will be playing longer than Wallace will be in the near future. I like Iverson better as a player, but he's too old to build a team around him. I think they are attempting to trade the wrong superstar.
Posted Tuesday June 03, 2008, About: D-Wade hears Bulls trade rumors
For a guy a who plays like you expect a #1 pick to play like; the Bulls would be getting a steal with that trade. Miami just better not be Dangling that #2 pick with him to move up one spot. If they had the #1 and #2 picks, With Beasley, Marion, and Rose they'd should have a solid core. It would give them better balance by also strengthening their front court. They have to keep Marion though, otherwise this trade will just set them up for further mediocrity. Assuming the Bulls take Beasley #1, the Heat would be strong 1-3; be terrible in the front court at 4 and 5. If the Bulls take Rose, the Heat would be strong 2-4; and terrible at 1 and 5. They won't have someone to facilitate the offense, control the tempo, and to help create plays for others. They need a PG, and D-Wade is an electric 2 (when healthy) but would not be the best PG if forced to play it. He's an Assassin, not a floor general. If they trade him, they'll have a better than solid 1,3,4 in their starting line up. All they really need to find at 2 is someone who can shot and defend a little, and address it in the future. For a 5, they just need someone to control the paint and rebound. They don't really need a scorer at that position.
Posted Sunday June 01, 2008, About: Who will Rays draft No. 1?
The Rays have looked good so far, and apparently don't need help right now. They are best served to draft the best available prospect. Those guys can help you pull in big name players in the big leagues. The reason the Yankees were able to swing so many big name tardes a few years back was because they had decent prospects in their farm system. Now they have no one creating buzz, and haven't been able to swing a Blockbuster deal. Prospects in the MLB are like Draft picks in the NFL, they are assigned way too much value; and are worth more than the average MLB veteran.
Posted Sunday June 01, 2008, About: Bucs cut one-time rookie wonder
Simms, McCown, and Griese should be battling for QB2. They have to give Johnson a reasonable shot to develop. They should do what they can to keep him for at least this year. If Johnson is good enough, or shows enough promise, I'd try to get a look at him with the 2nd unit.

Garcia is old, and has injury problems. He maybe will play for another year or two. They have to find a QB2 that they are comfortable with taking over as QB1 when Garcia retires on his own, or is forced to retire when his play starts to diminsih. The only one young enough and least spoiled is Johnson, to be groomed. If he doesn't pan out when that time comes, who cares he was a fifth round choice. When you have a very old QB starting, you need to prepare a young back up to eventually take the reins.
Posted Sunday June 01, 2008, About: Have Pistons already fired Saunders?
I hope they fire him. He was the worst thing to happen to that team. He tried changing their style of play, and allows Wallace to take too many threes when he should be banging in the paint most of the time. They went to the Finals for two consecutive years through their ferocious defensive style; and he had them focusing too much on trying to be an uptempo offensive team; and totally neglected working on defense or continuing their tough hard nose play which defined the Pistons When Larry Brown coached them.
Posted Tuesday May 27, 2008, About: Owens to Raiders in 2009?
Since when does wishful thinking make for news?

If the Cowboys don't win a Super Bowl this year, I can see him remaining with the Cowboys for another year; unless of course his age starts to show. Then they will try to low ball him into a 1 year deal, take-it-or leave it, and he will wind up signing with the highest biddre
Posted Wednesday May 21, 2008, About: Free-agent receivers calling Dolphins
They should call up Keyshawn. He'll help tremendously in the blocking in the running game and converting third downs. He's also a big target for the red zone. If he got the right weight training and bulked up, he could play a few years at TE and be be one of the more athletic TE's in the game if he choose to make such a switch.
Posted Saturday May 17, 2008, About: Donaghy bet on games he worked
How long ago did this news come out? This is old news. We all know that refs in the NBA dictate the action over the course of game by deciding when to and not to blow the whistle; this just shows that it could that some intentionally do it to give a certain team an advantage. I just hate it when these refs swallow their whistle late in the 4th when the losing team is trying to make a push, and calling tacky fouls the winning team has the ball late. 2 points at the end of the game is worth the same as two points early on. Referees are a joke, and they need to call games evenly for 48 minutes, not 43 which is the most case.
Posted Monday May 12, 2008, About: D'Antoni hoped to sign with Bulls
He can take as much money as he wants. Marbury is going to run him out of town too. Larry Brown just won an NBA title and was known for turning teams around. He was given one year and hosed. This guy built up a team that Marbury destroyed in one season as a Sun, and they were pretty good before they traded for him when they swapped Kidd for him. This is dumb, and the best situation would have been the Bulls. They have more talent than the Knicks, and most importantly they don't have a huge cancer by the name of Starbury.

This is a dumb article, he's going to be suspended for the year and is most likely not going to be able to sign with anyone.
Posted Saturday April 26, 2008, About: NFL execs: Dolphins shopping Taylor
I don't see Taylor going to New England in a trade for the #7 pick. They are rivals, and you just don't trade your best player to your division rival. Even for a #7. You are right though, it makes sense monetarily and you egt a proven player. You might even be able to squeeze the 57 or 64 pick from Miami as well. If they weren't in the same division it could be a viable trade. It's not and I don't see it happening. The only team that might swing a deal with them is San Diego. But, I don't think the Tuna is going to be able to get anything more than a late 2nd to late 3rd for him. Just because they over value these picks so much.
Posted Saturday April 26, 2008, About: NFL execs: Dolphins shopping Taylor
I feel like they want to make that trade to get Henne or Brohm. I like Brohm more between the two, but He should fall to the 2nd round. They should take That WR Hardy from Indiana at 32. He should be there. 6'7" 220, 18 reps, 4.45 40, 42 inch vert. There isn't a corner in the league who could out jump him. He'll out muscle just about every corner as well. If you get this guy he'll make getting first downs easier and help out tremendously in the endzone. At pick 32 it's not like you'd be betting the farm on him. He's too talented to let him go past you with that pick Miami. You need him and he'll be able to start immediately on that team.
Posted Wednesday April 23, 2008, About: Why Skins won't land Ocho-Cinco
The aren't called "The Bungles" for a reason! Fine, wait until June and then trade him for a 2009 1st and conditional 2009 pick; instead of a 1st round pick this year and a conditional pick next year. Get what you can, and start making decisions based on business rather than making it personal.

He should be happy, now a couple more people know who Soulja Boy is. They also now know that he should change his name to Soulja Girl after crying about something like this.
