The Yankees are pretty set with pitching right now. They should save their coin for Joe Mauer, or a good first-line outfielder right now. But I'm okay if they want to bankrupt Boston in a bidding war over this guy.

I don't condone what A-Rod did, however....a few things need to be said. First, this happened six years ago, and he has not tested positive since. Second, WHEN it happened there were no penalties for such things so one can only imagine the extent of usage throughout the league. Third, he was told that the testing done then was essentially a "survey" for MLB, the results would never be released....so HE was lied to, and thrown under the bus. Why hasn't anyone "outed" the other 103 players who supposedly tested positive back then?

Who wouldn't want Tex? However, consider this. Posada can play first, and he's already under contract. TWO starting stud pitchers is what they need. Look at what Tampa Bay can do without any all-star position players.

Paps is a great closer, probably be hall of fame someday. But if you look up closer in the dictionary, there's a picture of Rivera. Not only is he great, he's probably forgotten more about being a class act than Papelbon has ever known. Had he not said what he said, no one would have given his wife the Bronx cheers during the parade. Not as many anyway.

First of all, Barry Bonds is NOT the greatest player of all time. That would be Babe Ruth, who did it all on beer and hot dogs. The Babe also happens to own the highest won-loss percentage of any PITCHER in the Hall of Fame, so I think that pretty much wraps up that argument, don't you?

Riversgt?! Why would you suggest that Girardi isn't a good manager? One full season under his belt at Florida and was manager of the year? This year, he has lost 60% of his opening day rotation, Posada for two months, A-Rod for a month, and he's just four games back in the loss column before we hit the half-way mark. I think he's managing his butt off.
