To all Jr "Haters": Do you ever listen to Jr's interviews? He talks in a very reserved tone. I never heard him say anything negative after the race Saturday. In fact he corrected a reporter for trying to put words in his mouth and fanning a potential already fiery situation. In all his years in this sport I have NEVER seen or heard Jr act with nothing but class. There is not one person posting here that could spend anymore than 5 minutes in his shoes, with the total weight of NASCAR nation on his shoulders.....

Just a total shame. Yes it seems that Denny had the field covered. When he called the pits to say the tire was going down, and going fast to the back, I would have thought he would do the right thing and pit? Good day gone bad, but no he decided to stay out till the bitter end, and bring out the caution.
I have watched racing for many many years, but to see Kyle turn the wheel right in the turn, into Jr to take him out was the last straw for him. (Kyle) He has been involved in a wreck in every race he has participated in this year? The press defends these actions cause he quotes so good? He may be riding high now, but he is in for a long way down soon....

That would be a funny thing to see, ole Scott Coaching the Loosiers. He hated both IU and Purdue, because they both passed on recruiting him from HS. Having lived in Plymouth after he and his family left town, I heard many a tale (and not at all very good) of ole Scott. I tend to believe the townsfolk as they have no axe to grind.

Since Reggie retired, I for one cannot watch this team. Totally lackluster play, and no one to cheer for. I have been a fan since 1967, and I just can not believe how bad these guys play? No one in todays game gives a hoot about Larry Bird. His day was long ago with another team no less. Time for either new owners or totally gut the whole thing from top to bottom. That arena is one of the finest in all the NBA. The fans deserve better than gun toting, want to be thugs.....

All I have to say on this matter is this. It was a fun and exciting race. All of our fans got a Great Show, and I hope the season is competitive as this race was !! I think Jr will preform with much more consistency this year , with all the junk from last year behind him. On to Cali and good luck to all the Teams !!

Total disrespect to iu. I agree with a previous post about everyone involved with this hire, should take the walk of shame in public, after the termination. What a total disgrace. I have seen many posts from different sites, with so many fans that didn't like this hire from the get go. Well this adminatration did not care one bit, but to hire a crook and expect him to be trustworthy. We shall see what kind a man that Bland is ie; will he drop the hammer on iu?

Jr has a totally NEW FOCUS. He will be tough at all the tracks this year. When Jeff saw that he couldn't win he helped Jr out by dropping back, thus Tony had zero help. Tony was strong, but Jr had help from a TRUE teammate!! Thanks Jimmy!!!!

i was not dragging Matt in the mud. lol lol i just wanted to point out to people that think JR is such a hack at driving, that he only has 17 wins. well Matt has only 16, but he is a champion also. point taken. but as i have also pointed out, this is a hard sport to get just 1. yes JR has no champions trophy on his mantle (yet), but he does have a Daytona trophy, and the last time i looked, that too is hard to get. there are a few drivers that have 1 too, and they don't have champions trophies in their trophy case either.
this sport is so fun to follow, b/c it is always changing. and as fans we can agree to disagree on the drivers and such. we can have fun at puffing up our guys and all, i just find it funny sometimes that some people who have no idea what so ever, throw out stupid posts, trying to get your anger up. for them i personally think they are too shallow and small minded. plus i think they have never been to, or ever watched a race in person to ever understand the power this sport holds. these cars are very heavy, and in the hands of these athletes, it is fun to watch a live chess match at high speed.
ball sports are fun at times, but in this sport you have to beat 42 teams at once every race, not just 1 team at a time over the coarse of the season, and our guys do this 36 times a year.. lol lol
