I'd like to see Halladay teamed up with Beckett and Lester in Boston, but somehow I don't expect it to happen. Boston needs more help with bats right now. The lineup is limping. ...Still...Halladay would look pretty nice in Fenway.

Yeah. RS really blew it. If they had just come out really fast and really strong...say $500,000 over 12 years, and a fleet of sports cars, and a couple of airplanes, and a 1/3 equity position in the team, and double it all fi they make the playoffs, and triple it if they win the WS...

These guys are pretty free and easy with another person's money.

It appears that the Great Satan of Baseball may have been hyper-imagining (wink, wink, nudge, nudge, know what I mean?) the "other" offers on the table and got caught at it when Henry sent his email and other teams denied increasing their current offers. Time will tell, of course. Boras may have wiffed at the latest pitch (but I'm sure he will be paid well in the end).

The Rangers are pretty sad if they need Tex to go to a dead end team and five other players have to fail so the Rangers have a shot. Sounds like the Rangers are about six players shy of competing, by your own admission.

Am I the only one who thinks that Lowe is no big deal? I seem to remember quite a few poor outings when he was with the Sox. Yeah, he had one big series...and he's played better in the NL, but will he be as good in the American League East? I don't think so. He's a pretty nice club house guy...but on the mound against AL talent? I would rather see the sox pass on him. Anyone else agree or disagree?

So much for building the team from the farm system. That experiment lasted, what...a little over two-thirds of a season? Too bad Santana slipped through during the experiment.

Maybe Hank should just put a bid in for the 2008 All Star team for the AL and be done with it.

Looks like management is throwing in the towel for this year.

Those rings will mean one thing to these players...the job isn't done yet. The Giants can hold their collective heads high, and their fans can celebrate as long as they like. The rest of the league can take a back seat. ...and you all know one thing is true...the PATS will be back again this year. That's more than most of the fans of teams in the league can say about their favorite team. Most of you will be whining while the PATS are winning. New season; same deal.
