That's what I am talking about jonesm75; we getting down to the end of the season, the Yankees are on a mission, if you are in the way you have to go, all these games count, especially playing someone in your division. The season isn't over yet.
Posted Thursday September 10, 2009, About: Bowden thinks FSU had one more second
I think they will be good without Teebow as well; it is the spead offense (a great sysytem that allows him to put his best athletes in space), Urban Meyer perhaps, besides Saban and Carrol, is the best recruiter in college football right now. He did win the first National Championship with Chris Leak, I mean where is he playing today? What Teebow provides to Florida is "Leadership", which has given him and his teamates tremendous results on the field. Those kids believe in Tim Tebow. That is no different when FSU had Charlie Ward, they believed in him beyond a shadow doubt that they had a chance to win every night. The only mistake Bobby Bowden made was not playing him sooner, but thats up for discussion. I also believe that Urban Meyer's program has built the proper mindset. I don't see him losing his Assistant Coaches anytime soon, which is the backbone of any successful college program. That is perhaps the main reason FSU fell off right after the 90s ended; in their peak times, they had the best coaching staff in college football. I mean, they were damn good! They had there ups and downs in the 80s with various games and in the 90s they got it right. I mean, the talent in Tallahassee hasn't changed, except that ol' Charlie doesn't play QB anymore, but they should always be in the hunt. I love it when all three Florida teams are competitive, it is good for College Football.

I agree with eyesWIDEopen that Florida State had an opportunity to get the job done, but this was really a good game. This is probably number 3 on my list of FSU vs Miami, so much to the fact that Miami won, which is great for their program, but both teams are evenily matched as far as talent is concerned. That is just my opinion, but Miami has found them a pretty sound QB, who seems to stir the ship pretty well. I thought Ponder played well, it was a good game. FSU is going to have a tremendous year.

I skipped alot of quotes today, but this one had meaning. It sounds like a true football fan has really spoken. Please do your research, the man makes Minnesota a contender; "Hands down".

Julio Jones picked ND over USC? That's NEWS to me!

The guy he was talking about is Mante Teo from the state of Hawaii this past year recruiting class, who chose Notre Dame over USC, he will be a freshman this fall. Julio Jones was in the recruiting class a year ago, he will be a sophmore this fall, and yes he is a beast. Saban did a good job as usual.

This is the kids schools he has listed of interest so far. The kid should take his time and figure where he really wants to go.

#77 Seantrel Henderson Schools of Interest:

School Interest Level Offer? Attended Camp? Visit Date Signed LOI?
Iowa Med Interest Yes None
Michigan Med Interest Yes None
Minnesota Med Interest Yes None
Notre Dame Med Interest Yes None
Ohio State Med Interest Yes None
Oklahoma Med Interest Yes None
UCLA Med Interest Yes None

I only see 2 Top 10 teams so far. Does that make the other 8 programs hot garabage. Florida the Defending National Champs, 2 out of the last 3, and you don't have them on your list, WOW. USC with the warm weather, and Pete Carroll's linemen go top 25 in the draft every year. Who could argue that, wearing flip flops to class everyday. Who know whats important to that kid, but him and his family.

This is for football recruiting. No one ever talks about the great recruiting job Mack Brown does, Nick Saban is a beast, Urban Meyers has good years in recruiting as well. Charlie has done pretty well in his time at Notre Dame, much better than Ty. This is the main reason why he is still on campus. The ability to lure recruits. You may not see ol' Pete Carroll, but he makes a huge push by the end of the year, but he usually has about four to five (5 Star Recruits on his list this time of the year) right now he only has one. That is unusual for him, since I have been following recruiting since 2000.

I am a Notre Dame fan, but I love football, as a kid I thought the world of Tim Brown, back in 86, his junior year, the year before he won the heisman. I was a young kid, who inspired to be a WR and I rooted for them the following year and he won the Heisman, than I fell in love with the Option of course. Pound for pound there is none better that run the Option than Tony Rice, maybe Tommy Harrison, but both are similar in style. I have always rooted for Bowden as well in some capacity as I have Holtz. I honestly enjoy watching both schools play. You are right about the their being more athletes from FSU in the pros than Notre Dame, but Miami is the beast when it comes to draft day.

Clausen gets a bad rap because he under-performs, period. Having "all the physical tools" doesn't mean crap, as evidenced by our own Mr. Rix. As a matter of fact, Rix and Clausen are very similar. They were both All-World coming out of HS in Cali, they both went to very high-profile programs where they both underachieved.

Your comment about having to forfeit if we beat ND this season is nonsensical. I realize you were trying to get a dig in about our recent academic scandal, which shouldn't be too hard to do, but you missed anyway.

The QB who thought he was god was Wyatt Sexton. The QB who gambled his future away was Adrian MacPherson, who, by the way, was light years more talented than Jimmy Clausen.

With the POSSIBLE exception of the Mighty Quinn, Notre Dame hasn't had a good quarterback since...Joe Montana? Meantime, we've produced two Heisman winners at the position who each led their team to a National Title...I think I'll stick with FSU.

The best pro prospect QB from FSU was Brad Johnson period. I will take my 7 Heisman winners over your two any day of the week. We had a few decent QB at Notre Dame since Montana, the first one that comes to mind is Steve Beuerlein, Tony Rice (won the last National Championship at Notre Dame), Rick Mirers was good in college; he's pro career was better than Weinke's and that's horrible in my opinion, and Mr. Quinn, who may actual do something in the Pro's has the capabilities to do something special. In fact the best QB from FSU in the pros doesn't even play QB; he is a receiver for the Arizona Cardinals. Just my opinion. FSU's glorious history is written in the 90's, which you dominated, period. FSU is starting to sound like Notre Dame's history, trying to get back to the glory days of yesterday, but my history doens't compare to yours on any level.
Posted Saturday March 21, 2009, About: Weis hopes sophomore QB pushes Clausen
We're doing fantastic, thanks for asking. As for the QB situation, Mr. Clausen would be a third stringer at FSU right now. Notre Dame beat Hawaii in a bowl game and now all of a sudden "They're BACK!"

Please, spare me. If we played ND this upcoming season, we'd beat them like a rented mule.

I like FSU's Quarterback, his is the first one you have legitment since, Rix jacked it up for those four years. I know we have struggled at Notre Dame, but we usually have a Quarterback or two to get drafted every once in awhile. I don't think we are back in any capactiy, but making good strides in the right direction. Pickle boy, played pretty decent down the stretch making all of his progressions reads and most importantly learning how to manage the game pretty well. They needed that bowl win, even if it was against Ocala High School, I would have taken it. It builds momentum going into there off season program and especially for spring practice. Oh' Warden, how is Michingan coming along?

Have you ever contributed ONE thing of value to any thread on this site? All you do on here is spew negativity with ZERO evidence to back up anything you say. I know I'll have to take my lumps over the NCAA sanctions against FSU, but NOT from someone like you.

I suspect the closest you have come to any university is a logo on a T-shirt.

EyesWIDEopen,

I know we have our moments on here, but I commend you for showing up and taking your lumps like a man. I have a few things too add, FSU was getting pretty close lately in class room violations and Bowden was trying to clean it up, sometimes these things happen. Everyone in College Football is violating some sort of rule... period. I don't care what you Major Division 1 Football program it is, there is something funny going on, PERIOD! To address the Reggie Bush situation, I am no USC Fan, but an Independent Agent, whom Mr. Bush had verbally committed to sign later after his college playing days was over, hooked him with a Car and a House and other lavishing gifts. Even flew his family to the Heisman Trophey presentation. He footed the bill, a former Gangster. Maurice Clarett, whom I have no respect for, was isolated by Booster members, from town (Columbus), was responsible for giving him his car and everything else that was given too him. Paperwork never led back to OSU or Jim Tressell. All universities as sometime or another have given athletes some form of lavishing gifts, besides that small amount of $500.00, we used to get every month. As a former College Athlete and Graduate, I might add, that is the main reason Coach Holtz left Notre Dame.

Holla, to much money for a safety that should be playing Linebacker
Posted Tuesday February 17, 2009, About: Michigan QB to transfer
This is a smart move by Mr. Threet. He wants to go somewhere that fits his style of play, which is a prostyle sysytem. Mr. Rodriguez will play a true freshman at the the drop of a dime; he did it with Pat White. I know Mr. Threet was thinking the samething and probably asked the Coach what his chances were of starting at QB the next 3 years, I mean Rodriguez has recruited two kids that can play QB in space pretty well. Mr. Threet saw the writing on the wall.

It was a combination of the O-line play and Coaching the O-line as well. Last years Coach was replaced.

Manti Teo will play, possible start by the third game of the season. There is no one of his attributes infront of him standing in his way.

Clausen't career went were; he will be a Junior this season. He played fairly well as a Sophomore, especially on a team dominated by Sophomores and Freshmen.
