Actually what confused McNabb the most was when Andy Reid kept saying "give the ball to Ron Mexico...have Mexico take a few snaps"
Even the PA had a hard time following the action when he kept referring #7 as Vick. Yes, that confusion totally disrupted McNabb.

So Jimmy wins two Heismans this year and two next year to achieve his 4 total? Or is it a 1-3 or 3-1 deal? When does his golden boy talent come into play? Jimmy got the benefit of playing from behind a ton last year...plus a fumbliscious UofM team. When you throw it up 40+ times a game your stats just might look good.
Jimmy is the problem. Well that and jabba calling the plays. This ND team will suffer from one of the weakest schedules EVER!!
I hope they steal a BCS bearth from a deserving team so fat charlie aka jabba can keep his 27 year contract in order even though they get absolutely crushed by a real team.
Wow ND can go 10-2 against lame teams and get destroyed by Texas or Florida....sweet. So long as its a ND payout who cares right? Sure the score shows its Florida 42-3 at the half, but jabba just made ND $10M. Good job ND.

I will actually challenge that and ask what other hockey team is relavent outside or their respective city?
Jeez...for that matter why is hockey #5 on the sports rankings in america?

Dammit I hate having an original 6 team to root for that has been good to great for 2 decades straight. That's embarassing!!! It gets soooo boring cheering for your team in the playoffs every year.
Hockey went flat because the goons were allowed to ruin the game. A quick change of the rules from the troll helped that out a lot.

Cindy did not do anything but look pretty holding his new pens sweater. The NHL, the troll, and yes the media hyped him up. Take off the blinders and realize that for every 67 pro-cindy comments made, only 2 or 3 are justifiable. But if every commentator gushed over my team and their players....well, I'd prolly like to hear that too.
Hey, that might explain why I hate watching hockey on any channel other that FSD with Danials and the Mick. All DRW all the time!!!!

OMG I spelt a word wrong!!! Please add more than just being the grammar police. Soul...there.
Posted Friday June 05, 2009, About: Datsyuk 'close' to return
That is because Malkin is doing all the work while Cindy sits down at the corner of the crease (see: Z burning him last year) and cherry-picks.
Points are points. Make assists half-points then. Either way, Malkin is the scorer, Cindy is the sweetheart that gets the pass for the 2' shot.
How many twist-o-ramas has Cindy scored on? None.
HOW IN THE HELL DID CINDY GET HIS FIRST GOAL......A PASS FROM MALKIN ARSE!!!!

Glad you're a local at heart. The ledges has changed quite a bit since those days. GL has a Meijers now too!!! And stoplights. The baseball team just won the Diamond classic...again. ****!!!!

Yeah I hate the fact that the DRW can let players like LeCavilier and Federov go without missing a beat. I hate that the DRW have played in the playoffs like 19 years in a row now...without a poster child.

Mario sold his sole to the devil to get the team and draft Sid. But that's what happens when you draft in the top spots many years in a row.

Actually, no he doesn't. See that's what is so cool about the "home Ice advantage". It allows for guys like Z and Nick to be on the ice when Cindy enters the circle in HOCKEYTOWN....and when games are at the excuse for an arena called the Mellon(odd coincidence), Cindy gets to line up against our 2nd or 3rd lines.
It is the strategy of the game. Whey would Bylesma or whatever the coachs name is line up Cindy against the best D? That's just stupid.

Not taking anything away from the staggering +12....but a series verse the no D Caps and spent Canes doesn't exactly tell the tale of the tape.

A better argument would have been to say, he is a +12 against the other teams' best D HALF of the time.

And before your panties get all bunched up....I make fun of Dats too.
On FSD Pavel stars in a eye surgery commercial. At the end, in very Ivan Draco-like form, Pavels says "I go to DR. Ramurti...you should to". And I think to myself, Pavel, you've got some scary eyes going alreay, did this cat really help you out? It's called humor.
Pavel gets the Igor remarks, Malkin gets the Shrek....and Sidney is too pretty to be know as anything other than CINDY. Eat it.
Posted Friday June 05, 2009, About: Datsyuk 'close' to return
Cindy-Sindey, Shrek-Malkin......all the same pal.

Yeah it's soooo great of CINDY to get in front of the cameras and produce nothing short of the most lame and boring soundbites ever.
I'm not saying he's good. He is. He's not the best player on his team though. But Shrek isn't a pretty boy with the beard of a 15 year old. No, Shrek is like Ovie...a pure Russian scorer. But since Ovie doesn't give a rats arse about which mic he'll yap into next, he's not the messiah of hockey like CINDY is.

Sorry, in my mind that was fantastic sarcasm. What I was really trying to say is....NBC and the rest of the Cindy loving world will be running "Cindy wins SC" instead of the Pens with the SC.

What I was implying was that it's not liek the other 15 guys haven't done anything...but I have a gut feeling (based upon countless blurbs about Cindy's greatness) that the credit will go to him and not the TEAM.
Posted Friday June 05, 2009, About: Datsyuk 'close' to return
As a die-hard DRW fan, I am seriously reviewing my perspective here:
Do I want the DRW to win to cup for the sake of being a fan....

or do I want Pittsburgh to NOT win the cup, so I don't have to listen and watch even more "Cindy Crosby won the SC" crap for a year? It's a toss up for me.

And yess I said that corectly. It won't be the Pens won the cup, it will be Cindy won the cup. Cause the other 15 guys did jack ****.
Posted Friday June 05, 2009, About: Datsyuk 'close' to return
In reality, I have to commend Pittsburgh for game 4. I know my neck hurt after watching the Pens play yo-yo with the puck....I can only imagine what Ozzy felt like getting whiplash 20' from him.
I'd say that about 85% of the time with Shrek and Cindy on a 2-on-1, they score. Even with Ericcson blocking (which meant I was cheering during the goal, confused Wife asks for clarification!!!) the frist pass, those two 5' from the goalie are a bad combination.

That's who we really need, a Brett Hull. Since we are limiting ourselves to 50' shots, why not get Hull on to the ice? I can already imagine it now....

Z goes behind the net, fights through a check, bounces a pass out to Hull, who has been standing there with his stick raised for 8 seconds already....the one timer trickles to him in slow motion, Hull's stick begins to curve before he ever starts to swing....ensuing 104MPH rocket finds the to corner stick side, Gatorade bottle goes flying!!!!! Wings Win Wings Win!!!!

My only addition to this might actually ruin your point.
In this era of modern TV, conference TV, 17 ESPN's, and unlimited internet coverage...I ask; what team or game on some level IS NOT on national coverage?

Exposure is every where now. Every team has exposure. Even the D-II schools are getting exposure. The idea of ND having a game on TV every week is no longer an advantage. I'm not going to say I'm positive about this, but I think at any point in the season, I can pick any team playing any game and find a way to watch it.

The only advantage that ND has (along with the SEC/CBS and Big10/ABC) is coverage on free airways. But it is getting harder and harder to find people (and college football fans) that are not "on the grid".
Posted Monday January 19, 2009, About: Angry Boldin to bolt Cardinals?
Here is all I hafta say about Boldin. He is every way as important as Fitz to this team. The man leads the team in YAC, which is a very strong stat. Yes, there is QB help in getting the ball to the receiver to create plays, but burning the LB's and DB's is all Boldin.

However, after watching Fitz do a 9-step, triple move (gott love Tivo slow-mo) on Sheldon Brown to create just enough seperation for the 1-yard TD catch was truely amazing. I think that if I'm the Cards, you do every thing you can to keep both of these top 5 WR's on my team. They compliment each other very well.

I'm pretty sure that the "D-Line coach" sign outside his office might just be getting replaced with "D-Coordinator" very soon.
Keeping these coaches in-house is a great move, provided that they (the promoted ones) don't hold on to the ways of the past too tightly. You are exactly right when you say that games have been won and lost with Joe's style. But this game is changing. JoePa is going to have to accept the fact that WR's don't get into 3-point stances anymore and 3 yards and a cloud of dust ain't the way of the future. But I still admire how players that tough it out and continue to play 100% are rewarded in their 3rd and 4th years, regardless of talent level (within reason). The juniors and seniors are the leaders and the backbone of nearly every PSU team.
Speed, deception, and multi-talented players are what is going to carry PSU towards many more Big10 titles and BCS sniffs.
This is of course not worrying about the defense mind you. I think Bradley might go down as one of, if not THE best D-Coordinators in the modern era. They'll be fine there.
Posted Friday January 16, 2009, About: Paterno's assistant staying at Penn State
I also disagree cause as a PSU fan that you are, I'm pretty sure that JayPa had it tougher than any other fan would, being that his dad was JoePa.

But letting talent sit on the bench and playing the QB who "doesn't get it"...well, doesn't work. Morelli got it I'm sure. His lack of speed and running ability is what didn't get it. To me, it was more of the case of classic PSU playing its upper-classmen over the unders. Morelli had two years and stunk while Clark could have been more productive coming off of the MRob campaign.

This is exactly why Devlin left. Switching back-an-forth with the offensive system is just plain stupid. One year it's the spread, next year, Power I. Two years later mroe spread. That doesn't work. They have made the change, now PSU has to get the players or start suffering the fate of DickRod in AA. All the plans, none of the talent.
