The only reason Selig is the commissioner for so long is because he's buddy-buddy with all the owners since he was one himself. Really...can an 80 year old really keep up the rigors of a high profile job such as MLB Commish?
IU's loss to Syracuse was like all the other ones they had this year. Indiana got out-muscled underneath and they let their opponent get too many offensive boards. That and too many turnovers. It was a trend in each of the losses.
I'm a little skeptical on this one. Is what he's saying is true or does he want to leave because he thinks there isn't much of a chance to play for a title at IU in the next 2 years?
You nay sayers must be upset because your favorite team's coach doesn't stand up for your program and players like Crean does. While it is true about the former assistant, TC probably should have just smiled and shook his hand. However after just winning a huge game in the way that it all came down at the end, Crean's competitive spirit came through and he took the opportunity for a little verbal jab. He didn't say anything that members of Hoosier Nation thought about saying...TC just had the opportunity to do so.
Are these upgrades going for the suites and high end ticket holders or will they be for the person that sits out in the elements screaming for their team when they're down by 2 td's late in the game?
Knight brings up some valid points that the other commentators were afraid to mention. That Michigan team kind of paved the way for all the freshmen that are starting now. Just think, if they didn't do that, Calipari at Kentucky would have to recruit differently.
While freedom of speech grants her the right to say what she thinks, it's just not proper decorum for the wife of an opposing player to post that kind of stuff. Sounds like another upset Patriots fan whose team got beat blowing off some steam.
I can understand the thought process. However, if the Panthers aren't successful (namely on offense) then one of the first people who get blamed is the OC and this is the same guy that you want to hire as a potential HC when you let the existing guy go?
Gibbs is with Toyota. Rousch's middle name should be Ford as he's all in with them. Petty switches makes about 6 years or so, so he might be a choice for them even though he dumped them as well. The only way i see Dodge coming back is with a multi car team with deep pockets. More than likely with a new team like they got back into it with Ray Evernham.
Good job Irsay...give the other team something to chew on. It's not like Baltimore really likes the Irsay family or the Colts for leaving the city years ago. Speaking of chewing on, hopefully the Ravens don't make Irsay eat his words.
It won't bring back those who were killed, but it will mean so much to that family. A celebrity, sports star or whatever you want to call Cruz could have blown the whole thing off. He's doing this because the kid looked up to him and probably thought Cruz was the best thing since sliced bread. To call the team and Cruz out for showing compassion and kindness in the wake of this tragedy is cold hearted.
Lafell seems to have been the most productive receiver this year, mainly due to teams concentrating on Steve Smith. If the Panthers are depending on Murphey to get the offense rolling, you might want to play the Atlanta defense on your fantasy team this week.
First of all Spurrier spent time in the NFL with the Redskins. The job he did in DC is not something I would call coaching. Second of all, Spurrier is drinking the garnet kool aid served up in the South Carolina coaches office. If you don't believe me, just ask Dabo Swinney at Clemson.
I thought they could have traded him last year and kept Woodson (who is now with another team, possibly Oakland but not sure). Maybe they could get a DB that can actually cover someone rather than watch a receiver make another catch on 3rd and long.
The Falcons game wasn't all Cam's fault. The secondary that allowed a receive to catch a 60 yard bomb had a lot to do with that. Play calling that resulted in the Newton fumble was part of it. Fake a dive up the middle and run it around the outside for the yard.
