Back to the subject, I think they just wanna see Morris compete for the job. Everyone who has seen him play knows he is THE guy for the foreseeable future.

The real question is who will the Canes bring in from high school this year to be Morris' backup (Harris is relegated to Spencer Whipple status)

I really do like the fact that no one really knows who the REAL candidates are. For all we know, Edsall, Trestman, etc. are not even being considered.

Heck I'd say it's more likely than not someone out of left field gets the job. Not speculating but just as an example, the odds of Edsall getting the job to me are about the same as Steve Mariucci. No one has a clue

Also, I've been hearing the locker room became divided after the FSU loss. Any truth to this. Was it pro-Shannon vs anti?

On the recruiting front, I wonder how solid a commit Driskell would be if Gruden was coaching at the U. God knows J-INT isn't the answer. Morris could be solid. Don't know anything about Bridewater.

Who do you think will replace RS? I know you said Gruden has been in town since Wednesday but I'm not sold they are not going to shop around for at least a week to get a good feel of all our options.

What would you say to Dan Mullen? I know Leach is not an option. And I heard something about the coach from U of Houston being interested. Thoughts?
