Gman--take a look back maybe 10 years. Free agents make moves to better their chances at winning. For instance; why would Karl Malone go to LA for the NBA minimum. LeBron isn't going to leave Cleveland for a work in progress. He can have that where he is.

6 years is nothing. The Knicks have been serving the Kool-Aid since '73.

Are you on crack? Knick fans like you, have pledged their allegiance to the franchise because they are starving for a winner, and have bought into the bullsh!t Every year they proclaim, "wait 'til next year.' Unfortunately, it hasn't happened for 36 years. If the Nets began to shine, many of these fans would drop like panties on prom night. On the other hand, the Knicks would still have you and Gallinari. And you would still be hoping for a miracle.

The Cavs aren't necessarily the only team with a shot, but the Cavs can make a couple of 'tweaks,' and become a force to be reckoned with. Needless to say that isn't the case in New York. With a few exceptions, the team is garbage. Even with LeBron, they would still be a fews year away. {no center, no point guard, bad contracts) They would still be a work in progress.

I was never an Iverson fan. I like him even less now. I never believed for a minute that he was retiring in the 1st place.

Isn't there a current NBA season in progress? There has to be a story somewhere. Is it really necessary for us to be told everyday about what might happen next year?

I've just about had it up to here with LeBron. I think his lack of committment is actually hurting the team. Why would a free agent want to come on board without knowing whether or not LeBron is going to be there? How can the Cavs make the necessary moves to build the team without knowing whether the cornerstone will stay or go? Having said that, hear this; if he leaves Cleveland, he will never win a championship. He will be in the broadcast booth at ESPN when the Knicks reach elite status. The only other alternative would be to hook up with Wade in Miami. Otherwise, he will be the Allen Iverson of the next deacde.

Because it's easier to bury your head in the sand and pretend you don't have a problem.

Excellent points, but you're assuming the existence of logic. Knick fans refuse to accept that this team has little or no chance of being bailed by free agency. It's easier to dream that all this will be worth it in 2011.

Haven't you noticed? It's always lovely in November. Call us after the All-Star break.

You've said it all. There's no reason for 200 comments on this thread. The only thing left to say is that the team sucks. Take a look at last night's "lowlights."

I've never been much of a Kenyon fan, but when you're right.... This team is grossly mismanaged from the top down. There is too much talent here for the team to be this bad. Start with Frank, and go from there.

Ha! The picture actually shows Iverson passing the ball.

Dude; maybe it hasn't occurred to you that the movement that free agency is about to create, is as much about winning as it is about the money. You may be able to entice a 2nd tier player with a fat contract, but LeBron will make money wherever he goes. Think about it, the Knicks have absolutely nothing to offer LeBron, Wade, or any other difference-maker. These guys aren't interested in bringing the Knicks back to respectability. They're trying to win championships. The current group of Knicks, even with LeBron, would still struggle to make the playoffs.

I too said this a year ago, and was met with the same reception. "You're just a hater." Even if they manage to somehow bring in 2 stars, it won't be enough. The rest of the roster is garbage, and a bunch ofnot ready for primetime players.

I will be really glad when this dude either signs with someone, or goes off into the sunset. This way FanNation can get on with a new flavor of the month.

Oops, wrong year. He was still a mistake.

Don't fool yourself. Dumb and Dumber had already made up there mind who they wanted in this draft. Jennings could have showed up and been the 2nd coming of Chris Paul, and these 2 idiots would have still taken Gallinari.

How does this make sense to acquire McGrady's contract, and he doesn't play. You've simply unloaded one zero for another. Nothing to do with basketball or making your team better.
Posted Tuesday November 24, 2009, About: D'Antoni still mad at Robinson
Hey; what do you think of this?

In today???s Newsday, Alan Hahn has a piece about how the Houston Rockets want no parts of letting Tracy McGrady near their team, but the Knicks have been trying to trade for him for months.

It???s kind of funny that the Knicks wanted no parts of Allen Iverson because he supposedly would take time away from the guys the Knicks want to develop, but at the same time, they???re trying to bring the type of nonsense that Hahn describes into the locker room?

And I was called a hater when i said Walsh was an idiot.

Hey; it's the Warriors. What does it matter who's holding the clipboard? The results will be the same.
