Even if they did that they would get him on the downside of his career. Kind of like they did with Johnson, Brown, and so on.

Granderson is no Sizemore

Are you serious? Why would anyone in their right mind trade a 24 year old pitcher that throws 96 mph for a 28 year old CF who hit .249 this year? This article matches the rest of the NY post. In other words it is garbage. They Yankees would never make this trade. Maybe for a much better player. Damon has better numbers. Tigers might want Joba in that trade, but they will not get him.

Yeah Joba was not too great towards the end, but this is first year as a starter and he was dominate at times. Also his number are not too bad for a starter in the AL East.

Another factor is the Yankees already have hot CF prospect Austin Jackson. No way they will trade away Joba to bring in some to block Jackson. They would only want a stop gap until Jackson can get a chance.

NYPOST is making stuff up.

I think it was only blind until the bidding was over. If it wasn't the bids must of leaked out after that. Just going by what I recall was reported. Someone can google it I am sure.

Matsucka probably gets a bigger total deal if there was no posting fee, $120 million or more. No one else thought anyone would bid over $30 million just the for rights to talk to a player on top of the contract that Borass would want and the socks went over $50 mill, $20 million over the next highest bid.

LOLOLOLOLOLOL, So the posting fee does not count as money because they did not give it to Matsucka?? The posting fee is a fee associated in signing Matsucka. They could not sign him without it. They had to outbid several other teams with the posting fee to sign him. So it counts, it is actually the most important part of the transaction. After they out bid everyone with the posting fee they could of offered Matsucka a sock puppet as his salary and he would have to accept it or go back to Japan for the year. idiot

Makes sense to me. They need a new DH because big juicer is done. I am not sure how many years they are talking about, but 2 years or at most 3 at around 7 mil would be OK.

Matsui is a proven DH which is hard to come by. He hit for average and power as the DH all year. Not many players can do this.

I would not go more than 1 year or maybe 2 on him.

No, that is not why I said that. As I said before most people that have an unreasonable blind hatred for Obama are racist like the teabag people.

I didn't see them marching on fox news when Bush spent 800 billion +++ on prescription drug plan with no way to pay for it.

I didn't see them march when Bush started the war in Iraq for no reason and no way to pay for the 3,000,000,000,000 +++ (bc it aint over) war.

I didn't see the teabags when Bush gave 800 billion to the big banks.

It is the hypocrisy along with the Nazi flags, witch doctor, communist sings that make me think racist.

I was a registered republican until Bush won the party nomination and that is when the party left me. He was too dumb to be the leader of our country and Palin is even dumber. In my opinion you have to be retarded to vote for these people.

I believe in what the republican party says they do when it comes to government spending, but you must be blind if you think they have been doing that. Bush ran up the debt with bail outs, wars, tax cuts, and his drug plan. At least democrats will pay for their plan and not just put it on the credit card like the republicans have done for years. You can't argue with the facts here.

Define terrorist act. I don't think you know what it means. I consider all of the killings I mentioned above to be terrorism.

Too late buddy this turned into a Obama **** fest.

I know what happened. I saw it on the news. He was an American who happen to be Muslim. What about other domestic attacks like Oklahoma City, Virginia Tech, Murder of abortion doctors, columbine, and so on. Do we make a big deal of their skin color or religion? He did it because racist idiots were picking on him and he wanted to kill them.

Not why I called him an racist. The reason for that is because in my experience most people who have blind hatred for Obaman are racist. It is OK to not agree with him (I don't), but this blind hatred no matter what he does is something else.

Take your blinders off. The Sox have been just as much buying. They just bought Jeremy Hermida today. Yesterday Buster was saying that the Marlins could not afford to pay this young talented player and someone like the Sox or Yankees was going to take a chance on him because they can afford to pay him.

So sick of sox fans accusing anyone of buying anything. They are number 2 in the AL in pay. It is OK to be number 2 but not number 1 I guess.
Posted Friday November 06, 2009, About: Yankees to pass on free agents?
So no one buys anything except the Yankees? Clif Lee was a gift from god playing of the Phils out of the kindness of his heart? The tribe thought Lee was no good and they wanted to dump him? The Phils bought him just like they did with Ibanez or whatever his name is.

Bo sox bought Manny, Pedro, Schilling, Beckett and so on to win. Doesn't matter if Beckett and Lee were trades, they were trading with teams who could not afford to pay their best players, so they bought them.

The almost all of the teams that finished at the top this year were at the top in payroll. They all bought it, so try growing a brain and making some sense.
