Okafor did a dang good job to avg 14 pts a game last year. Sam Vincent was an idiot and had no clue how to use the big man. If Okafor would get a solid 15 shots a game (which he should) then I have no doubt he would get 18 and 10 a night.

Look at how many over-paid big men there are out there. I say 12 million for 18 & 10 is worth the price, because he also defends the rim like few in the game can. Not to mention the fact he is a class act who won't be caught behind bars ...

I want to know why he is falling. So he had a bad season this year, most of the Miami defense did. He could not be everywhere on the field, and Miami has a great track record of producing secondary players.

If a good OL is not there, I hope the Panthers grab him at #13. That is a top need in a league that throws the ball more than 50% of the time.

Not that they would ever do it, but I wish the Panthers would offer Maake Kemo... and a draft pick for him. Robertson is a very good player that would work better in a 4-3, and Kemo is the perfect fit as a 3-4 nose tackle. He isn't working in Carolina b/c we need him to penetrate and he is really just good at taking up blockers.

Crumpler isn't leaving the southeast guys. He is either going to sign in Carolina (most likely) or for Tampa Bay or Tennessee. If healthy, the Panthers win the NFC South early.

if you can get him to play for 15 million, then he would be great for any team. i agree he is not that franchise 20+ million guy, but his defense/rebounding/energy is perfect for a star like dwade and this year's lottery pick to build around.

Mike Wahle will make someone very happy next year, this coming from a Panthers fan. He did save the team over 4 million in cap room so the decision to cut him made some sense, even if he is a very good lineman.

What we hear here in Charlotte is he is going to get a new deal, just not the one Freeny got last year. It might piss him off, but he needs to come out strong during the first 8 games next year if the wants to be the new highest paid defender in the NFL.

No way the Mets can afford him. And who is to say that the Braves can't keep him? Andruw Jones HUGE salary just came off the books and management will at least make a play for him. If the Braves are 15 games out in July, then I am sure Wren will take 2-3 good MLB prospects for him. No harm done.

If they forget this season and make no trades that is best for them. Let the Pistons and Celtics get a year older in the East and make your move for next year and beyond. Keeping R Davis/J Williams around means their contracts will expire after this horrible year. Cook was a nice draft choice last year. Take your Top 10 pick and get another one that can complement a HEALTHY Wade and Haslem.

That is a good start to me.
