As a Packers fan, I totally agree with you on the Favre situation. The man is just out now to get revenge on the Packers. He doesn't want to be a Jet. He just wants to play and stick it to the Packers. He would absolutely LOVE to be a Viking right now. But he put himself in front of the team and it's his fault.

Great points, Bigalke. I think Bolt's equipment (hell, he wasn't even in spandex like the US runners) didn't have as much of an effect on his performance as the LZR did. I would count more of the WRs in swimming to technology than I would in track.

Rupp was so impressive in that race. I'm pulling for Symmonds and Wheating more than I was pulling for Phelps to win eight medals, which is saying something. You need to get a link to that 800 final from the trials up here. When I was out in Eugene at the end of July I was over at Hayward and saw Symmonds and Wheating run tune-up races for Beijing, Symmonds in the 1,000 and Wheating in the 1,500. Wheating actually almost ran over my dad and I during his warm-up. These two young guys are what the Olympics are all about. Watching some local no names make good.

Are you frickin kidding me? The earth goes through natural phases of change in climate..i.e -the ice age. .and we happen to be in a warm period right now. I'm all for recycling and what not, but come on people, we are not going to die tomorrow because of "climate change."
