This part doesn't require the approval... servers only. Which, to highlight how well-planned it was, means we'll be leasing it right back after we hand it over the keys completely in about 1 month......
I am not. A certain bank that at least one VIAD member works at bought a rather large piece of business from my employer's card business as well as our server... this weekend - the migration begins. 4 am on a Sunday? I love working then!........................
Ok highlighter haters. I'll be the first to say it. The new cyan Sounders jerseys look damn good on tv. Much more visually pleasing than their rave green... and much easier on the eyes than the dayglo yellow
He's certainly said "OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MAAAAAAGGGICC!" a few times now. No Captain Caveman today tho... so maybe Ozul is in the crowd watching so he can call him Avatar Eyes.
This is just incredible... I think even Barca has stopped trying... that's how much Leverkusen has stopped playing. If they stop any more than they already have, they'll need to lay down and take a nap to top their current form of walking around with the "phvck it" look on their faces.
I like the blue... the red/white hoops are going to be tough to cope with though... I'm just not a fan of any jersey with hoops. I'm a much bigger fan of the solid whites with minor striping or the slightly darker sash from last world cup.
RFK is a dump... it costs a small fortune to maintain it to the bare minimum of safety standards. It's sight lines, since it's a multi-purpose stadium built with baseball at the front of its mind, all point towards the pitchers mound... the supporters side also happens to be the huge seating section that's on train tracks, to convert for different sports. It's built out of steel... the original steel. People have literally fallen thru it. The upper-deck is hardy ever used, and not blocked off when it isn't needed... you can get seats there at any time... but it isn't maintained, like, at all. There's trees growing thru the cracks in the concrete. There's places where chunks of concrete have literally given way and fallen to the ground.
....all that said, everyone loves RFK. It's hallowed ground in Washington sports history.
DC United and Events DC renewed the lease at RFK for 2 years... more favorable terms overall, incentives to stay in the district, and a renewed commitment to serious new stadium discussions *with* Events DC involved... so the district likely won't be cut out, giving away a revenue source.
This is baaaaaaad. Sheep style.
I always liked the blue pin striped jersey...
...and it wasn't by me for a change. :-)
