Great running back. Too bad a complete idiot once he opens his mouth. Maybe in all the excitement of being with Troy again and the SB venue announcement, he became debacled.
Posted Tuesday May 12, 2009, About: Favre working out with high school team
As a life long Packer fan and a fan of Favre's (although my willingness to defend him is dropping every day) this is a complete joke and it has nothing to do with him possibly playing for a division rival. It has everything to do with his motives. I wanted to believe he might be different than most players, who are only about themselves. He helped bring 'glory' back to a franchise that was absolutely pathetic in the 70's and 80's. But he has proven to be the ultimate narcissisist. He thinks the Vikes have the best shot at going to the Super Bowl. So he'll sign for one year to take a shot, for himself, and leave their team in the dust after the experiment fails and screw up another franchise for his own needs. He had a shot at Super Bowl contention with the Pack a couple years ago and he blew it with his off season BS (not to mention INT). If he wanted another shot, he should have stayed on in GB. Please just go away already and let it go. The whole get back at Thompson and the Pack is completely juvenille and makes him look like a complete idiot. And if he signs with the Vikes and the Pack had them their as*** in a hat twice this coming season and Rodgers out performs him, what does that get? Even more humiliation. Time to just fade away already.
Posted Wednesday April 01, 2009, About: Who will quarterback the Broncos?
Both sides of this fiasco have and continue to make mistakes but Cutler is coming off as a complete prima donna (I know that's thick with irony being a Packer fan but at least Favre had the numbers to back some of it up...still doesn't make it right). The owner and coach have been reaching out for 10 days and he (and/or his agent) won't return calls? Come on! Grow up already. Welcome to the real world Jay. The NFL is a business. Trades and free agency are all part of that. Changes occur in my workplace every day. I may not like it but it doesn't mean I'm going to quit or not talk to those responsible for it. This guy is on the Jeff George train....big arm, no brains, and a complete head case.
Posted Monday January 19, 2009, About: Source: Capers to sign with Packers
Can either of you defend your QB is no good comment? He's only the second QB in NFL history in his first year of starting to throw for more than 4K yards. 28 TDs, 13 INT's. Rating 93.8, % of completion 63%. Number 6 QB in league in terms of yards. Packer offense #8 overall, and pass offense #8 overall. First year staring, I get it, but what am I missing? Sure, defenses will adjust next and we'll see what happens but his future looks promising. The Pack defense sucks, especially their epic 4th quarter collapses the second 1/2 of the season. This is a good move. Their offense didn't drop them to 6-10.
Posted Wednesday January 07, 2009, About: Report: Lions interview Garrett
I'm a Packer fan living in Texas and I am surprised at how many people want Garrett out after this year. Last year, he was the wonder boy genius. This year, fans and players are trashing him. Give the guy a break. The last time I checked, the players are the ones who need to execute the plays on the field. If the players don't execute (e.g., Eagles game and all the fumbles), why is it his fault? Not to mention all the injuries on offense this year, which included the QB and back field. The bigger problem is the lack of discipline and accountability on the team and overpaid players not playing up to their potential, not the offensive scheme.
Posted Wednesday November 26, 2008, About: Terrell Owens wants more
Well said. He has a career day against a bad team so now he's 'the man' again. Give me a break. He should have another good game against the Seahawks so he should enjoy it while he can. Pitt, Giants, Ravens, and Eagles won't be so generous. Watch his stats decline after this week just like the team's playoff hopes.
Posted Thursday November 20, 2008, About: Romo takes homeless man to movie
We are all familiar with his work with charities/ charity cases...he is dating Jessica Simpson afterall.

In all seriousness, good for him. It's good to see someone out there, especially an athelete, thinking of someone other than themselves.
Posted Tuesday November 18, 2008, About: McNabb's last season in Philly?
I will own up to my error on the pro bowl comment....meant to say HOFers. But I stand by the rest of my assessment.
Posted Tuesday November 18, 2008, About: McNabb's last season in Philly?
How did I blow it? I'm not defending Favre and his INT's. Just like you shouldn't defend McNabb and his INT's. That's the point. It's about execution. So the solution, based on quite a few posts, is to fire Reid. So based on this rationale, McNabb will be a better player and more consistent with a new coach? I doubt it. When a guy can rack up huge stats one game and look like HOFer and completely suck the next, and this is their pattern, it has nothing to do with coaching and game plan. It seems he has a problem with preparation.
Posted Tuesday November 18, 2008, About: McNabb's last season in Philly?
I'm not defending Favre and his INT's. Just like you shouldn't defend McNabb and his. That's the point. It's about execution. So Sunday's tie game is all Reid's fault? That's what you are saying. Don't defend McNabb's INT and poor play. So a new coach is going to make McNabb a better player and more consistent? It sounds like a lack of preparation when a guy can light it up one week and complete suck the next.
Posted Tuesday November 18, 2008, About: McNabb's last season in Philly?
There' absolutely no way I can say this without being labeled a 'hater' so I will just say it and move on. It's Donovan Frickin' McNabb! I'm sorry, but this guy is overrated (here comes he doesn't have a team around him proponents). If he's that good, he should lift the level of the players around him. I don't want to get in to a Packer / Favre whine discussion here but Favre did not have Pro Bowl talent around him in GB and they found a way to win and be productive. Should Andy Reid go? I don't know. I don't follow the Eagles enough but who was EXECUTING the plays against the Bengals? Common on! 3 INT's and a fumble. You can bash Reid for the game plan or lack thereof but dare I say it again....It's McNabb. I've never seen a QB look like a complete stud one week with gaudy numbers to looking like a complete bum the next. And let's not get in to the 'I didn't know the OT rules'. Are you kidding me? That is completely indefensible by Reid and McNabb. But I'm sure McNabb will trump it up to some racial conspiracy as he usually does.
Posted Thursday October 23, 2008, About: Chaos reigns for bumbling Cowboys
I don't think the real issue is Romo's status before the game. Plenty of players are 'game time' decisions. The bigger issue is who is in charge of this team? You have Wade saying Romo won't play, Jerry later states he will with Wade saying something to the effect of that's news to me and whatever Jerry says (ablib). Wade...you are the coach right?
Posted Tuesday September 23, 2008, About: Ex-Packer: Rodgers better than Romo
Cowboy Dave your comments aren't igonrant. Go back to page 1 of the post and see Hooah. Lack of vision.
Posted Tuesday September 23, 2008, About: Ex-Packer: Rodgers better than Romo
I hear ya' Cowboy Dave. Kudos to you and the 'Boys. I think they are the best team in the NFC. The Pack have a ways to go and Monday night showed it. The whole debate about who is a better QB is ridiculous. It's comparing apples to oranges.
Posted Tuesday September 23, 2008, About: Ex-Packer: Rodgers better than Romo
Haven't fogotten a thing Cowboy Dave. The Pack were outplayed. What's the point? When people want to make narrow minded, ignorant comments and not look at their own performance or lack thereof over the past few years.....get a clue. Entitlement doesn't mean a thing until you actually win something.
Posted Tuesday September 23, 2008, About: Ex-Packer: Rodgers better than Romo
Sounds like it hit just a little to close to home for you Cowboy Dave.
Posted Tuesday September 23, 2008, About: Ex-Packer: Rodgers better than Romo
Couldn't get the job done Monday night or last year? Are you serious with that comment? How about not getting done it done in the playoffs for the past 11-12 years? "If your team comes out with a "L" it's all moot, isn't it?" Save the smack for when your 'Boys actually win a game when it matters - the playoffs. Until, 3-0 doesn't mean squat.

I'm sure he has no problem cashing his multi-million dollar payroll checks in the same country that gave him that opportunity to begin with.

Posted Thursday August 14, 2008, About: Personal attacks bother Rodgers
As a Packer fan, these people heckling Rodgers and allowing their kids to throw profanity at him are a disgrace and an embarassment. As if Rodgers had anything to do with the whole fiasco the past month. He's the guy stuck in the middle in a no win situation. He's been thrown into the limelight and has handled it with class and dignity. More than I can say about some of the players (Favre), Packer front office, and fans. I have all the empathy for the guy and hope he succeeds.
