Until they decide to stop being in the bottom for salary cap spending it won't matter who coaches the team. They "gave" the Caps a 1st round pick last year (#11) and a 2nd round pick this year (1st pick 2nd round) for Valarmov who was 11-9-5 for the Caps. Talk was they may have cut him if they didn't trade him. This year? He was 11-21-3 (Av's D was pretty bad). They traded Chris Stewart and Kevin Shattenirk to St. Louis for? Erik Johnson. Horrible trade. Let's not forget they also told Joel Quennville "thanks for coaching" the team to the playoffs the last 2 of his 3 years with the club buy see ya later. Pierre Lacroix may be on his way out (like his son) since Joe Sakic took over which is a HUGH step in the right direction. Roy should get a chance with the sins of the past not having influence over the club. They still need to get off that Kronke stack of $$$.
