Better than Shonn Greene? More than likely. Long term solution? Highly doubtful. 5th round pick at best.
Don't matter if he can pass block. This season appears to be a throw away, so if Sanchez goes down, I trust the Garrard/Tebow combo to get us that top pick.
I remember thinking Roberto Kelly and Kevin Maas were going to be the saviors. I'm not spoiled, we had a good run. Between age and the passing of The Boss, massive changes were to be expected.
If the young catcher and pitchers in Flushing reach their potential, you guys are a couple OFs and a couple years away from competing. I don't hate the Mets, just the Wilpons.
That is if a team is dealing w/ the player directly, signing him to a contract and providing the former team compensation.
If the team currently holding a player's rights negotiates a trade with someone, then the Franchise Tag doesn't mean anything. If the player signed the tender, then that is his 1 year contract w/ the other team. If he hasn't, then you would think once compensation has been negotiated, then there would be a window of time for the acquiring team to come to terms with the player long term.
I can't think of any 2-#1 pick Franchise players changing hands. Curtis Martin and Laveranues Coles were both acquired for a #1 & a #3.
Take it easy with this trade talk. It isn't like they are the Mets and a targeted May return really means "hope to see you in September." Dude will be shaggin flies and be feast or famine at the plate by Memorial day.
I'm soooo glad Brooklyn didn't get Howard. He'd be eaten up and spit out by the NYC media before his first tear hit the ground.
At best he'da been the 3rd Greatest Howard outta Brooklyn, slotting in Just ahead of Shemp and behind Moe. And that is if you don't consider Shemp's Abbot and Costello work.
Everyone knows Dolan is a clown, all you need for proof is the Isaiah years. His daddy should have given him a job slinging beers at the Garden, not ruining 2 teams.
This dude signs in Philly, he gonna be buying smack from a hole in wall on Allegheny by the All Star break. For those that don't know, I don't mean a dumpwater bar, I mean an actual hole in a brick wall on the side of a building.
Nah, hate to tell ya Sparky, but being on the field don't make you one of the best athletes in the world. Being on the field means you were one of the best athletes in the world, when the team picked you up. In your case Bart, you are old, slow, broke down, and get abused so bad when a QB sees you trying to cover someone, that we should start calling you Tina Turner.

QB gonna eat up all the $$, and not live through the contract w/ an offensive line full a ham and eggers.

Anyone think Jordy was going to be the over rated one and Victor Cruz pick right up where he left off last year?
