It's Bankruptcy court attained assets, they take the assets but they do not have to take the debts that they don't want.
The original owner is being absolved of the debt & asset. Contracts are a debt, not an asset. The NHL is under no obligation to pick up his contract... they are just stupid to not pick it up under some other pretense.

I watched the replay a few times & Booth had his head down & Richards is not a small guy. He skated through him & I did not see him jump on any of the super-slow-mo done on NHL TV.

while I can understand it to a point, I think in the case of specific tribe names (Seminoles, Hurons, Chippewa, etc) it is up to the individual tribal chiefs to support or request the change.
