I had bad dealings with Direct TV and the 3 different technicians I dealt with when I tried them out (poorly wired, did not weatherproof their drilled holes, and misalignments...not to mention Direct TV charged me for every fix I had to call them out for). If Direct TV didn't offer up a large amount of $, the NFL would have Sunday Ticket available on cable and I would consider it (I buy NHL Center Ice).
if a team is under earning, under attending...yes, the NFL can tell an owner, 'Sorry, but the team is going to have to move'. If a team is making a profit, they can also say, 'The team is staying put.' The NFL itself makes enough money every year, it could handle taking over a team for a year to make an owner transition.
so the question is where to offer teams? I would like to see a team in the US PNW, but I don't think Seattle or Portland alone have sufficient fan base to keep a team afloat if they are not a top team (see Seattle Supersonics). OKC and Hamilton seem to be the best options, but then you have to talk about the 2 possible relocation teams of Carolina and Florida.
It seems like the entire NBC crew was pulling for the Devils to win that game. Every call against NJ was 'marginal' or 'shouldn't be called at this stage'. Honestly, the worst color crew in sports. And that says a lot.
right. So that 'boarding' call in OT was so in the Devils favor...I don't have a horse in this race, but the officiating was equal to both sides with Philly getting a lot of leeway on some of the takedowns they were doing in extra time.
