that's a load of ****. If Vick went to my team there's no way I would cheer for him. Even in the super bowl.
.""This guy is Toronto's Carl Pavano, except he pitched a few more innings. I'm glad he turned down the Orioles,..." Yeah I agree that he's injury prone, a career .500 and has command issues, but at least he has SOME sucess, especially considering his division. He has a no-hitter under his belt, and he owns the Red Sox. Pavano will go down as one of the worst signing in sports history. Burnett? Not the best signing by the Jays brass, but no where near the mistake Pavano was.
NASCARisdumb you have chosen to make private your identity and your following, which leads me to believe you are a packer fan. Lions fans are usually more proud, as are bear fans.
" When do they give up on this guy???
sday4x45"
ummm. Well his first year as a Jay he did this: 38 SVs (3rd in the AL),1.37 ERA (2nd among AL relievers), ranked 3rd among relievers allowing a .169 BA...etc it's all taken from MLB.com. They signed him to a 5 yr, 47 mil contract, and they are sticking with him because he has the stuff/numbers to be a dominant closer again. Sure, he could never be the same and fail to shut down batters in the ninth, but he also could come back and **** ****. up. Closers are a rare breed. Paplebon could be a Gagne, or he could be Mariano. Same as BJ, So give him another year. And then post your query.
