We didn't change the names of the; Lakers, Dodgers, Radiers or Rams when they carpetbagged their way here. Why would we change the name of the Bills? The Kings and Angels were born here and I refuse to acknowledge the existence of all other teams.
Big East has 16 schools. Nine play football on the FBS level (Notre Dame is not a Big East football member), 2 play on the FCS level (Villanova and Georgetown) and the other 5 have no football team. Next year TCU becomes the Big East's 17 member in all sports.
The NCAA mandates a 4-year transition period, so it will be 2016 before they will be eligible for a conference title.
Big East title or not, UConn could not sell its mandated allotment of Fiesta Bowl tickets and was force to swallow the cost.
Villanova playing FBS football is about negotiation muscle and the Philadelphia TV market for the Big East when they go a courtin' for a football broadcast deal.
If ND can get to Columbus Day at 3-3, then maybe 8-4. 9-3 is a complete pipedream and 10-2 violates universal causality. You have a Barney at the quarterback and a **** style defense (and rushing attack). They'll be better than last year and most likely 7-5.
Imagine a west coast sand bunny having to explain tax code to extra smart east coast dudes. The country is in tra....bull!
