I have to disagree. He has said that Ole Miss is his dream job, and is from North Mississippi, so there is no reason to think that he would leave unless he was mistreated. As for the money, I assure you, if he has Ole Miss competing for the SEC title, money won't be an issue. Alumni like Fred Smith will get together and make sure it isn't.
PDX, I get that it will raise some eyebrows, and it should. Just saying people should not jump to the conclusion that there is something illegal going on without any proof. The only thing coming close to proof was Treadwell posting the pic of around $300 on twitter, and if that is what it costs to get the #1 player at his position, then that is a steal lol. When I was his age, I could easily get that much money b/c I didn't have things like a car note, credit card debt, etc.
Just trying to say that the right person can succeed at Ole Miss without cheating, and I believe that person is Freeze.
It's the former dude. The overwhelming theme the recruits keep talking about is how much of a family the team and fan base feel like in Oxford, MS. I am from Oxford, and live an breath Ole Miss football, for better or worse. Freeze is legit, and if he keeps up what he has done so far, he will be an Ole Miss legend quicker than anyone expected. Also, Freeze is from north Mississippi, and has expressed publicly that this is his dream job. If he can get Ole Miss competing for SEC titles, I assure you he won't have to worry about being underpaid as a coach with our alumni. Same as other schools, they will find the money for him somewhere lol.
Sparty, I don't post much on here but I read SI.com regularly. I must ask you, what proof do you have that he is cheating? Freeze was on Orgeron's staff here, and though Orgeron couldn't coach himself out of a wet paper bag, that man can recruit. That is evidenced by Houston Nutt being able to have back to back 10 win seasons and Cotton Bowl victories.
If Freeze cheating is so "obvious" to you, then I would imagine Ole Miss would already be in trouble with the NCAA for major violations. This is not the case. All big time coaches have to get their start on the big stage somewhere. Hopefully this is his. Hotty Toddy!
Ok guys, do your homework before bashing my alma mater. If you knew anything about Ole Miss (note the Ole not Old), you would know there are several national centers for the study of various things, including acoustics as well as southern culture, excellent law, business, pharmacy, and accounting schools, and one of the most beautiful campuses you could possibly attend. Also, if you read the entire article on Masoli posted on this very website, you might not be so quick to judge this kid so harshly. I myself honestly did not want him on our campus at first, then I read the full article here on this website, and I now support his being allowed to come here. How much of a difference will he make? I don't know, we will have to see how the season plays out. As it is, before you bash a school for any reason, do your homework on the topic you wish to bash. We are all entitled to our opinions, but we are NOT entitled to our own FACTS. Here is a link for you that want to bash Ole Miss. Maybe it can enlighten you to the quality of our school. http://chronicle.com/article/Are-Colleges-Worth-the-Price/66234/?key=G2MmclBrMn ZIM3RjcndJKCNUOn0sJR4taX1DaHAaY1pX
TO sucks and hes locker room poison. I'd rather hire Lawrence Taylor to oversee the drug testing than have him on my team. He loves himself and himself only, before team or a championship. If that was not true, he'd have a ring by now. There are teams he's been on that have been good enough to win one or two but him tearing the locker room apart kinda works against that. TO sucks. Period.
No way is Fielder worth that kind of money. He may be a vegetarian(not sure I really believe that), but look at his physique. He will not play into his mid-30s and be productive at the same level, not even close. If ANY player in baseball is worth that much money, its Pujols, and not just because I'm a lifelong Cardinals fan. Look at his stats and they prove it, not to mention he is a gold glove fielder to go along wtih the amazing bat. Baseball would be grateful to see Boras dropped in the middle of a Great White shark feeding frenzy. Boras is one of the greatest examples of what is wrong with major league sports.
i wanna know what proof anyone here has that she is a ho or a s l u t? every last one of ya that arent married, and some probably that are, would do things to her that would make a sailor blush if given the opportunity, myself included. ppl really need to stop acting like they are something they are not and just be real.
