We'll see... should be very competitive... and chances are now that the Dodgers are 7 deep in starters, you will see them make a couple of trades... hope the G'nats figure out a way to get Lincecum's head screwed back on... I think with the way to Dodgers are going you will need him...
We will take him... will send you Aaron Harang and Ted Lilly... have seen the pitchers the Yankees have signed.. figured they could use a couple more...
As a fellow lurker/occasional poster, I echo the sentiment.. BY needs to relax or leave... though based on what I have seen, I doubt he/she will do either...
Well... it could be an insurance policy.. If they can't sign Greinke or trade for a Shields, than this guy would more than replace Ted Lilly... who is coming off major surgury and is going to have challenges and set backs... and if they sign or make a major trade, they get the $25MM back... because now no one else but the Dodgers can sign this guy this year... so I don't see much down side for the Dodgers at this stage... be interesting to see how the next month plays out...
All of which sound great and I would support, but none of which will happen in our lifetime I believe... Here, hand these out to everyone in lieu of pay (hand Sith a stack of paddleball games)
I agree... the fact that the Republicans still have the house will really put a kink in getting anything done... Boehner barely accept reelection before digging his heals in about all things regarding taxation and spending...
Unless he is willing to move back to 3rd base, not likely... Dodgers already have a 1st baseman with a long winded contract...and a left fielder.... and a centerfielder... and dont forget Nick Punto!!!
And won 20 games that year... I think this guy had the same issues Burnett had in NY... get him out of hte media circus and he may actually turn it around.. LA media is no where near as challenged as NY or Boston...
off a cliff...
