Kobe prefers Brian Winters as the next head coach. Rambis, I am sure was not expecting anything from the Lakes. It is a good opportunity for him to get some head coaching experience. He may not have gotten a good send off (who really expects one unless you are retiring?), after all he is going to another team. He might be back as the head coach, who knows?

Cardsfan2: You are WRONG about DODGER stadium not being a good place for Alex to hit HR's. Dodger Stadium would be a better place then Angel Stadium. The actual, not posted dimensions for left field is: Angel Stadium 382' and Dodger Stadium 368' Both CF distances are 400' and RF is only a diff of 3', Angel stadium closer to home plate.
Either way
ANGELS or DODGERS I hope one of them get him.
In L.A. he would be one of the bigger celebrities, just like a movie star. The endorsements would be huge.

it would be stupid of any team to break up their core of up and coming players for Kobe. Unless they have a 2nd star that could work with him, they would not get an instant winner. Jerry Buss would ask too much for Kobe.

hey, i was batting instructor for little league team too. i helped this kid who kept wanting to hit home runs and did nothing but upper cut and strike out all the time. i told him, just once, try to hit the ball on the ground.
he hit a line drive at the SS's feet. then i talked to him about a level swing and his next hit was a HR. so i think i would make a good batting instructor. as for Mueller, i hate the giants, ex-giants. if he wants to go be with his family, GO! Tommy Lasorda still works for the DODGERS, right?
i think in his only AB he struck out. i think he would make an outstanding batting instructor. hey Tommy, how is that slim-fast workin' out for ya...giggles
