Posted Monday November 03, 2008, About: Rutgers losing recruits to struggles?
Too bad it doesn't talk about the recruits in question. The fact is that Rutgers' 2009 class had filled up so quickly, there were bound to be some decommits whether they were winless or undefeated at this point.

The key of this class, Savage, isn't going anywhere. As a leader, others will follow.
Posted Wednesday October 10, 2007, About: Cincy QB's taunt upsets Rutgers
Actually, taunting is not part of the game, and usually a penalty.

And I love how ONE player makes a comment about being upset, and the entire team, school and student body get blamed.
Posted Monday August 13, 2007, About: QB picks Rutgers over SEC powers
Spanked by who???? Have you seen their schedule??? 9 wins plus a bowl game at a minimum for Rutgers.

And I love how all the SEC fans are downplaying this. Did you ever think that maybe, just maybe, Jefferson picked Rutgers because he liked the coaching staff and facilities better than the SEC schools that were interested???

It's not the same old Rutgers, boys and girls. And Auburn will get a taste of how tough the Big East really is when they take on the 4th best team in the conference, South Florida.

People are supposed to get drunk at weddings!!! Why is this news!?!?! God, I hate the media.
Posted Friday July 27, 2007, About: No. 2 DT commits to Hurricanes
The funny thing is that a lot of the 2nd and 3rd tier guys from South Florida that Miami passes on, would be top tier guys in other parts of the country. Hopefully Rutgers will be waiting in the wings to scoop a few of those guys up.
Posted Friday July 27, 2007, About: Big 10 eyeing Rutgers, Syracuse?
Don't forget that Notre Dame is already in the Big East in every sport but football. For them to join the Big 10 in football, they'd have to drop their affiliation with the Big East in every other sport, which I imagine wouldn't be very easy to do.

Throw in their TV deal with NBC and that means it's not going to happen anytime soon. They may have a better chance at joining the Big East in football than the Big 10.
Posted Tuesday July 24, 2007, About: Miami coach expects ACC title
Uhhhh, let's not get crazy about the ACC just yet. BC and Va-Tech was supposed to make the ACC some powerhouse and ruin the Big East.

If we remember last season, the Big East was MUCH better than the ACC. The ACC should be better this season, but so is the Big East.

Great hire by The U. And to think he was their 2nd choice.
Posted Monday July 23, 2007, About: Big East talking Tropicana bowl
The Big East bowl tie-ins are horrible. The #12 team in the country ended up in the Texas Bowl playing a mediocre team from the Big 12.

With the higher profile in the Big East and a more competitive conference, they definitely need to upgrade those tie-ins, especially after a 5-0 bowl season.
Posted Wednesday July 18, 2007, About: Rutgers magnifies Heisman hype
Rutgers will have double digit wins again this season.
Posted Sunday July 08, 2007, About: Yanks eye two Japanese outfielders
Baseball better be ready to accept the fact that either Ichiro or Torii Hunter will be patrolling CF for the Yankees in 2008.
Posted Sunday July 08, 2007, About: Big numbers for Seahawks WR?
You can't just stick a WR in a brand new offense and expect him to explode. He needs to gain a familiarity with the offense, as well as his QB. Last year was his "training camp".

Now that he's gotten that out of the way, this will be Branch's breakout season. Write it down.

Guard U.
Posted Saturday June 30, 2007, About: Where Wie, entourage went wrong
You know, I'm a fan of Michelle Wie, but she really needs to lose the primadona attitude and just play golf.
Posted Monday May 28, 2007, About: Rays owner not releasing Dukes yet
These owners need to put their foot down and make a statement. Maybe MLB should adopt a similar statute like the NFL and make organizations responsible for their players' actions.
Posted Monday May 28, 2007, About: Clemens may not make trip to Boston
Clemens' clubhouse presence will do plenty for the psyche of that team. We'll see how the Yankees do in June and July before declaring the AL East race over.
Posted Sunday May 06, 2007, About: Yankees-Red Sox ticketed for China?
Quite a few Asian players on both teams. Would definitely help the visibility of the sport around the world even more.
