more info....

But had the visit of Manning and Gase occurred simultaneously, it might constitute a violation of the NFL collective-bargaining agreement that forbids players from having meetings with coaches before teams begin their offseason workout programs.

Saban's vague language Thursday -- "The two of them were just making some visits" -- seemed to indicate it was a collaborative effort, prompting an NFL review of the matter. Saban's collective use of the word "them" seemed to tie the coach and coordinator together.

Whether it is a punishable violation by the NFL is still to be determined, the league has said.
Posted Saturday April 19, 2014, About: Nick Saban gets no-huddle tips from Peyton Manning
Per ESPN "Nick Saban visited with Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning at the Alabama football offices early last week. Saban also spent time with Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase -- on the same day and in the same location.

But don't connect the dots any further than that, Saban insists.

"I never said we sat down together," Saban said in an interview with The Denver Post on Friday night."

Against NFL League Rules for players and coaches to get together prior to a certain day in the off-season...I think it is sometime in May...

Here's a tip....after the play, don't all gather around about 6-7 yds behind the line of scrimmage and discuss what you want to run

Looks like Ol' Kliff might suit up after all. I'm sure he can get some sort of eligibility waiver from the NCAA

To clarify....his injury was when he was playing in the USFL. If he had stayed at OU and developed he probably would have gone on to the NFL and had an outstanding career....it could be argued that his injury was due to playing with much inferior talent...

Neaux...Dupree got a boatload of bad advice. Major talented guy who could have been HoF material if he had stayed the course..
Posted Tuesday April 15, 2014, About: Saban never did respond to Town's letter
Even-handed, called or not called, tooted or not tooted, meh. When you develop a relationship with someone and they respond to you, even if to say "no", it is the polite thing to respond back.

Not a matter of feelings hurt or anything like that...just common courtesy. And I am sure Sabenz has someone monitoring that email, or he looks at it from time to time. And if the kid did NOT do a call, and Sabenz first notification was by email, then you KNOW he opened that one up and read it as soon as possible. Just a couple of clicks to "respond", type "OK, Thanks" and then "send".

Not a matter of tech savy, matter of courtesy.

That's about it...recruit didn't have to tell him anything but he did...and that mean old Sabenz is just rude...

Of course..Sabenz will only respond to those who can help him...and ignores all others.
