Clearly they BOTH damaged the game. I've got autographed baseball bats signed by both Barry Bonds and Pete Rose, so you know I've enjoyed both these guys over the years but my own personal opinion is that neither belongs in the Hall fo Fame.
I would say no, he and the others that cheated should not be allowed in because every single cheater knew that if they got caught it would be the end of any Hall Of Fame talk and yet they cheated anyway. Also, lets say we allowed the cheaters in. Going forward after that, how do we judge future players for admission? Against the non-cheater history or against the cheater history? Personally, I think it's a shame that guys like Sosa, McGwire, Bonds and Clemens did what they did. They were awesome.
I'm a Syracuse and McNabb fan and I believe he's been very good over the years. He probably deserves consideration, maybe too you can make the case that he did well considering he never really ever had much to work with but I would say he's close but not a Hall of Famer. In college he was very mobile and used that mobility well to extend plays and make more big plays. In the pros he got chubby and didn't do that any longer. In fact he even Ralphed in the huddle in the playoffs.
Denver probably will get beat pretty good in this game but I think I'm rooting for Tebow to do it again because everybody gets behind a guy that all the experts say can't get it done. I want to see him continue to improve....and if he mentions his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ....all the better.
I haven't seen New Orleans play yet this year but I did see a pretty remarkable 49er team play this year. I still think GB has what it takes to go all the way.
I've always thought very highly of Joe but in this case he dropped the ball and some little boys had to pay the price. There's no do overs here. The boys that became Sandusky's prey are deeply wounded people now.
Brooks was amazing but a lot of people forget about Nettles...he wasn't too far behind Robby if at all. I didn't think Boggs was as good a fielder as the other guys you've mentioned.
Ted was out of line with blasting 85. He made much more out of it than it was. All he had to say was that Chad doesn't need to feel like he's on the outside looking in. He can be a part of the fun if he keeps working and keeps his focus. He doesn't need a verbal beat down.
I'm not too sure that Al Davis is jealous of the Eagles' lineup...that would mean that he still has all his faculties. Too bad the Raiders can't do Big Al a huge favor and send him out to pasture.
One year they got ahead of us 8 wins to none and by year's end it was us up 9 to 8 and the Yankees won the World Series that year. Does that mean I think it's going to happen again? Anything is possible but lets just say I never take anything for granted.
No way should fish farming be made illegal. There's a market for fresh fish just like there's a market for fresh vegetables. If you decide that's one endeavor that you'd like to take on and provide for the market then you should be able to persue that.
I support the fact that Mike Vick said he was sorry for what he did, even went to prison, and made a change in his life. We ourselves get what we give...if we foregive, we too are foregiven.
