Ok being from NY I'll tell you what the media down here said. An AP reporter asked Hank (who lets be honest is only 50 % of ownership) would Barry Bonds name come up during these meetings, Hank responded ???I???ll mention it. We???ll cover everything,??? Steinbrenner said before the meetings began. ???No stone will be left unturned.???

NOTHING THERE SAIDS BONDS TO YANKEES...think about it Cashman, Stick Mcheals and Hal Steinbreinner will be there w/ Mark Newman, they all have to agree before that is done.

madhatter I doubt you get Hughes for Salty the Yankees won't deal him and right now Salty is hitting .212 or .222 and baserunners beat him at an 80 % clip I don't see that type of a deal for him.

Price is a #1 overall SP, he's a LHP that hits 99 mph into the 7th inning, I'd say w/ his contract term and health he is absolutely the jewel pitching prospect of MLB's future. He's not going anywhere and is the real deal.

This Pirates regime is not the same regime that gave away talent, the new guy use to be the right hand man of Mark Shapiro of the Cleveland Indians, these aren't numbskulls, Marte will be on sale but I don't see Bay going anywhere, don't be surprised if they resign Jason Bay, if he's traded it most likely take 2 (1 ML ready) A prospects.

Jimmer they lead the league in hitting w/ RISP, thier coaching staff is just amazing and the defensive players are good at changing game momentum. I agree the Twins are never given the respect they deserve but the problem w/ the Twins is they don't have protection for Morneau so teams are just going to pitch around him in the 2nd half.

This year in 61 AB Richie Sexson vs LHP has a 1.046 OPS, he also adds defense at 1B, it's a cheap pick up if it doesn't work out he can get released w/ that said you go get him, he's cheap and a potential power bat vs LHP.

Go Yanks, I have to agree w/ you I mean rumors are the Rockies are scouting Humberto Sanchez and Mark Melancon, I'm saying no if I'm Cashman to that. The Yankees need to sell at this dealine th LH reliever coming in the market is not going to be worth it longterm wise.

They are not trading for CC, first off the Indians are in a playoff race, the Yankees are at a disadvantage but the time to be desperate is not here. They have resources from within no need to rush and do something ridiculous.

That had to be the most ridiculous statement I have ever read here. The Yankees shelled out the money for the construction, team payroll has nothing to do w/ this, the 400 million being asked is to pay for the future services, the current construction contracts the legal fees this has nothing to do in the project finishing or not Heck the Mets are kicking nowhere near what the Yankees are kicking in for thier new stadium and the city has given them a handout, the Yankees have paid for just about everything this has to do w/ them calling for city officials to kick in thier pockets too, besides they are the ones who will be benefiting from this since the New Stadium is going to be used for more things than just baseball, meaning new jobs and new business.
