The biggest mistake the Bruins made was signing Thomas to a 5yr contract extension, with a 4.5 mil cap hit a year.........and thats for 5 yrs, what were they thinking with Tukka there and Thomas is 35 yrs old, I said it when they signed him to that contract and everybody said I was crazy will who is crazy now Tukka is ready now, Thomas is still a great goalie..........BUT what about next yr and years after they are gonna have a hard time dumping that salary

I don't think the Bruins realized how much that they would miss the goal scoring of Kessel...

Kessel didn't want to stay in Boston.....plus they have to sign Savard, Chara, and Bergeron, also they were expecting more from Sturm who is a 30 goal scorer who has been invisible this year so far.....of course they knew they were giving Toronto a pure goal scorer...but that being said they are getting a lot of heat for the trade now with the B's struggling to put puck in net

This will happen when you go big the year before. Other teams will cover Larry like a blanket for a while but these are so good they will adjust and put up big numbers by the end of the year. I've been a Cardinals fan since 1977 (many bad years for us) this is better than Lomax to Green but I still say Jim Hart(17) is the best QB in Cardinals history but Kurt will be when it's all said and done. Most Bruin fans here in Boston are all over Bruins for this deal, but the real B's fans if they sit back and realize a couple of things, Kessell didn't get along with coach Julien and was kinda a baby, 2. if they kept Kessell forget this years salary cap remember they gotta alot of contracts coming up next couple of years, 3. as for making up his 36 goals, well I give you this Marco Sturm makes up for his speed, plus is at least a 25 goals player who missed most of season last yr, also Bergeron will be the scorer he was before his head injury by all accounts he looks great and has gained his muscle back and if anyone remmebers how awesome he was in Carolina series knows Bergy is capable of potting 20-25 with about 50 helpers, he was also asked to shut down other teams top forward last yr. also Blake wheeler who was on pace for rookie of year just wore down and was invisible last 25 games of season and hardly played in playoffs he will pot 25-30 goals easily he also put on weight and is know ready to play a full 80 games as coming straight from college no minor leagues was not prepared for a grueling 80 game stretch, and lastly don't forget Lucic he will improve his production, and remember the Bruins where the most prolific scoring team in the East last yr.
