The reason they don't want the team relocating to Hamilton is because it would cannibalize the Toronto and Buffalo markets. The Leafs bring in huge bucks and to have a team so near would definitely reduce the fan base.

Don't get me wrong, a team in Hamilton would be awesome, but Bettman wants to keep Toronto happy and won't make that 'mistake'.

I was there that night, the atmosphere was fantastic. It was funny because at half-time a huge announcement came on that the first half had ended and that there would be a second half...probably because some people were expecting three periods. Despite that, MLS soccer would certainly pick up in Montreal.

I don't know about you guys, but I can't feel bad for the NHL, no matter how bad it gets.

Clearly none of the owners are interested in rectifying the plethora of mistakes that are being made. The greater majority of the owners are not realyl suffering and the one that are probably receive some for of 'illegal' compensation (free golf membership @ 'Elitist Greens) The only people suffereing are the fans and the players. I'd also like to add that the players themselves weren't too bright end up agreeing on a salary cap.

Anyways, most of the people on here are aware of this...I'm just...ranting.

Bettman wouldn't get hired as a phone salesman.

Pull the trigger Rafa...we're not going to get a better offer than that. Crouch could be a great assest to a mid-table team, but he doesn't have the pace to play in the top 4.

It must be noted that in a system other than Rafa's, he could be much better than he is now. Can't say that he's been treated justly at Liverpool.
