To any of you defending the owners let me point out how stupid the NBA and the owners think we all are.
In the early stages of this process that started in June the various sports outlets all agreed that the NBA lost $350 million last year combined.
However the deal they initially came to the table with would have reduced combined player salaries by $1.3 billion a year.
So you see not only do the owners suffer from arithmetic deficiency. They think we are stupid enough to believe them because they are rich and Stern says so.
The bottom line is the league needs to be contracted by at least 4 teams, Stern should be fired and owners like Sarver and Sterling should be forced to sell their teams.
yes the players are **** bags and yes they are greedy losers (many of them anyway) but the owners are insulting your intelligence. They are definitely tweedle dum to the players being tweedle dee.
Yes its true, he is also a former gambling addict who has lost millions gambling on horses. Why Jerry ever gave that loser control of the team is beyond me.
Jim Buss is a former crack addict and an idiot. He will ruin the Lakers. Regardless of what happens in the immediate future, the Lakers are doomed with this crack head running the team. Mike Brown is an over rated coach, Bynum (even though I like him) is also over rated and should in no way be "Untouchable".
This is a dark day for Laker fans. I cringe for the future.
I do not understand what you are saying SD. Are you implying that SA in 03 did not have some of the best players in recent history? Duncan, Parker and Ginobli are all possible hall of famers. Or Miami in 06 with Wade, Shaq, and Mourning?
Both teams had potential hall of famers and roll players. Please clarify.
I agree that Pop is in the same realm as Phil in coaching but not Brown, I disagree there. Out of town Brown got lucky in 04.
Doc Rivers is an idiot and what is commonly said about Phil Jackson not winning without stars is actually true about the over rated Doc Rivers. Boston owes its 08 ring to the big three and Thibideau, not Doc.
He already spouted this tripe in the post game interview now he regurgitates it, he is a lousy coach, was a mediocre player and now it appears he is a moron.
Bynum is indeed injury prone and I was inclined to give up on him and hope for a trade. However they way he played through his injury and did what he could when he could shows that he is at least growing some balls, or maybe they finally dropped. Of course i am sure Kobe had something to do with that and most likely called him out. Having a walking triage unit like Kobe making you look bad for complaining about an injury could motivate the kid.
