I'm a Yankee Fan as well my friend and you just comitted blasphemy! NO ONE is Mr October other than Reginald Martinez Jackson. I know this may come as a shock to you but Major League Baseball didn't start in 1990. I will forgive you for this since we are both Yankee fans but you need to go tatoo a NY44 on yourself ASAP!!! Next up: Tom Terrfic is NOT Tom Brady.
I'm just waiting for some "creative" sportswriter to start calling Albert Pujols - Air. "Air Pujols" just hit another homer! It's NOT okay if it's a different sport! To everyone else- I apologize if I overreacted, but it's a pet peave of mine to see nicknames usurped. I will return to my brooding.

Are we reading the same story? Where do you make that connection that Torre knew something back then? "But in retrospect- with everything that's going on [meaning the present day steroid investigation] Normally I don't call people out on little stuff but you're just making stuff up. And then the next guy will react to your comment so on and so on and then we have a garbage blog. For the record, I think the Rocket is guilty as sin, as are a lot of the Yankees and the Redsox(surprise!). Personally, I find it all disgusting. But listening to the Redsox fans who take swipes at the Yankees late 90's run is the height of hypocracy. When you have a first basemen who never hit over 20 hrs suddenly hit in the 50s'- what do you think is going on? Knowing that such a key to the team would taint your only championships in the last 90 years- would you speak up? I just find the whole thing along with the Bonds HR debacle just to be so disheartening to the sport. And being the big hypocrit that I am, I won't do anything other than watch religiously.

As a Yankee Fan, I tip my cap to Boston on a job well done. They earned it. The "Dynasty" tag may be premature. Kinda like calling the Minnesota Twins of the late 80's/ early 90's a dynasty. Missing the playoffs in between kinda strains your "dominance" credibility. But again, nice job sox, I hate your guts.(On a side note- lose the whole "Redsox Nation" bit since you stole from the Raiders! OK? Its NOT ok to steal slogans just because it's a different sport. Back to the YANKEE UNIVERSE (C 2007 Me) AROD:CLASSLESS during the FALL CLASSIC. Of course after showing Torre so much disloyalty, maybe the Yanks deserve him now!! Hank S: "My dad made Joe T!" Hank? You would be working a fryolater if it wasn't for your Dad. Run the team if you must but keep your mouth shut about Yankee Legends unless we ask you a question. Back to AROD- In my opinion, he never got what being a Yankee was all about. I say GOOD RIDDANCE. As a Yankee fan he's just too hard to root for because he's such a weirdo! And as great as he is - he's equally a distraction. Let the Giants sign him. They like that stuff. PLEASE Yanks- let him go!!! Try for Lowell. or maybe Scott Rolen. Or sign him and trade him to St Louis for Rolen and Carpenter. Let him go help some other team not win the World Series for 30+ million a year. I mean can't you just see Boston's AROD fielding a groundball in game 7 of the LCS and having it go through his legs? I can. So how about Santana and Oswalt for 30+ million a year? Oh well I can dream can't I? Especailly since my Yanks are a nightmare.
