The players who spoke out about this ought to be ashamed of themselves. The season is starting in a few days and this distraction is just gonna make it even harder to win than it already is. They sucked last year, so Rodriguez is working them hard. He needs to find out who these babies are and kick them off the team, so the players can all trust each other and good chemistry can be formed!

The new-look Pistons should be able to outscore many opponents. They should win about 45-50 games and get a four seed. Stuckey's only getting better and having Gordon come off the bench provides so much bench offense.

"Dick Rod" is ruining a great program. I hate having him as coach! If Michigan doesn't get bowl eligibility this year, he needs to be fired. If Michigan loses eligibility at any point before the final game, he needs to be fired as soon as that happens. He lacks respect for the fans, who he believes care too much. What did he expect? He had a great thing going at West Virginia, signed a contract extension, and then left his players in the dust before their big BCS game. That right there shows the kind of person he is, and I don't want that kind of man running my favorite football program. We should've promoted English!

Ken Holland has insisted that this won't be an active off-season for the Red Wings. He doesn't BS his fans. I don't expect any big name pick-ups nor do I want to trade young prospects for more stars. Bertuzzi didn't do anything for us the first time and he's not getting any better or younger. The Wings are planning on giving young guys like Helm and Abdelkader forward spots and I support that agenda.

With most teams playing for 2009, the Pistons are being smart and trying to win now. Ben Gordon will make a great sixth man for the team and Villanueva will make a solid post threat who can score and rebound the ball consistently. They're also young, so if things don't work out now, they can get better later. Also, Stuckey makes a fine point guard. Now the Pistons just need to acquire one more big man. I'm thinking either David Lee or Paul Millsap would be a nice addition to the team. They need to re-sign McDyess as well. I sense this line-up for next year.
PG- Rodney Stuckey
SG- Rip Hamilton
SF- Tayshaun Prince
PF- Charlie Villanueva
C- Antonio McDyess
Bench: Ben Gordon, Jason Maxiell, Will Bynum, Amir Johnson, Walter Hermann, Kwame Brown, and Arron Afflalo. I'd like to see Brown replaced by either Millsap or Lee, but the other players I have in the possible line-up combined to average 121.8 ppg, which is quite the improvement from last year's Detroit average of 94.2 ppg. Obviously there are no gurantees of what will happen with next year's team, but based on how these people scored last year, I think with good management of who plays when and with who, the Pistons can be one of the highest scoring offenses in the league.

Marian Hossa kind of reminds me of another player the Red Wings had not too long ago. Some nights he goes out there, plays 100% and dominates the game. Other nights he can barely handle the puck and he lacks involvement on the plays and he's too soft and gets hurt too easily. I think Red Wings fans may know who I'm talking about, for those of you who don't know, it's Sergei Fedorov. The whole thing about leaving for the big money also has to do with that. Hossa's gonna retire cupless.

Here are my thoughts on the pursuits of different players.
Rasheed Wallace: Take him. He used to be my favorite Piston, but his antics have gotten stale. His productivity gets worse every year, but he's still plenty good at whining. He's been giving the Pistons a bad name and he can do the same for you guys. Sure, he can come off the bench and hit a couple threes. Other nights he'll take too many bad shots and he'll yell and scream up a storm. Like a terminal illness, there will be the fine days where everyone's feeling fine, but there will be those awful days where there's pain and misery. You'll just want to duct tape his mouth shut and slam him in a locker until the game is over. Maybe the big three can keep him on line.
Tyronn Lue- With Rondo, Marbury, and House all there as point guards, the acquistion of Lue sounds worthless. He's a decent player, but I don't see the point.
Marquis Daniels- If they can get him at mid-level excemption, sign him.
Antonio McDyess- He's not going anywhere. He wants to retire a Piston. Why do you think he came back to us after he got traded to Denver? He even played there in his prime!

Lucky for the Mets, they only paid him the minimum, so his injury problems won't cost the team nearly as much as they cost the Tigers. I'm glad the Tigers got rid of him as I think Marcus Thames needs more playing time.
