Bill didn't fair so well in Cleavland due to his relationship with ownership. In N.E. the relationship works well. The relationship between head coach and Q.B. also would have developed eventually even if Bledsoe didn't get hurt. He already had enough years with N.E. to prove himself and although he came close he never attained the prize and change was iminent anyway. Brady got thrust into the spotlight immediately just as Cassell has and due to his training by one of the best coaches in the league. Bill is a smart guy and developes his players starting with day 1 on the practice field. It has been proven at every position on the team. He can pick a relatively unknown and turn him into a star player by teaching him to focus on his strengths rather than his weaknesess. Why do you think so many veteran players want to play for the Pats? Even for less money! They get to be coached by the best, that why.
The Pats loss didn't come from one person singlehandedly, it was a lack of team accomplishment.
Parcells could get the team going again but I'll bet he won't.
Hey mabe they could talk Mariucci out of retirement. He could clean up the bird house until some other unknown comes along and destroyes the nest. Ha Ha Ha.LOL
O.K. my turn. At least we didn't loose to the sorry a** Jets.
He was still the coach of the Baltimore Colts at the end of the 1969 season, when then-Miami owner Joe Robbie approached him and signed Shula to a contract. The NFL charged the Dolphins with tampering and awarded their 1st round pick to the Colts.Undaunted the Dolphins reached the superbowl in 1971, then rebounded from a loss to Dallas by winning the next two, including the perfect 17-0 campaign."
Now I'm not saying the Patriots are a bunch of angels but neither is any of the other 31 teams. Don Shula needs to look in the mirror before he makes another statement like that.
So far this year the Fins are on target for another perfect season, 0-16.
Go Patriots! It don't matter who you have to run the score up on.Remember 1972? Dolphins 52 Pats 0. Well I won't forget. I hope they run it up against the rest of the NFL for the next Ten(count em) games.
