His stats were no better than his backup, Jared Lorenzen's were when they were both seniors in the SEC. Eli got drafted on the potential his name held. That being said, it usually takes about 7 years for a QB to fully develop.

I've been watching Andre Woodson since he first came to Lexington, and he has been UK's most talented qb from the first day he set foot on campus, but he only got the confidence necessary to be a top-level QB last season. Most UK people don't think he was actually going to be demoted; it was only a motivational ploy by his coaches, and boy did it work. I think he's playing like a Heisman winner, but UK will probably have to go at least 10-2 for him to even finish in the top three, but they've got bigger fish to fry, anyway.
