So in addition to trading 3 players away the Nets would have to cut three more to make this trade work. They are sending Kidd, Allen and Armstrong out and bringing 6 players back in. Would this be one of the largest deals in NBA history? I mean the Garnett one was up there wasn't it? I could be wrong about them cutting players maybe they aren't at the League max of 15 on their roster, but I assume most teams are.

We have Deng and Gordon playing for contracts this off season, Wallace who is set for life and not playing with nearly the same passion he did with the Pistons and Hinrich who has lost all confidence in his own play. I was against the deal for Kobe to start the year, to keep together this nucleus, but damn...I was soo wrong, wish we had gotten Kobe....

You have to consider the different perspectives of the two teams. Many of the Boston players have experienced nothing but losing recently and this is probably the most meaningful win many of them have experienced in awhile, from their view. Detroit on the other hand, are not a new team, they have been together and have gotten the job done in the playoffs. I think Boston has a right to be happy and I think what Detroit said in the locker room is totally correct also. You must look at the big picture. This article is just trying to stir up controversy. Two very good teams that will see each other again. Personally I wish there was more of this passion in the NBA right now, it shouldn't be stifled.

Can you imagine what the world would be like if people protested for a REAL tragedy like what is going on in Darfur as much as they cry racism over Mike Vick.? Look at recent arrests in connection with dog fighting , there have been whites and blacks arressted. Racism does exist in our world, but it drives me buts when the race card is pulled EVERYTIME a black person gets in trouble. I am just appalled how the race card is overused!

Skiles and Paxon have worked to hard building this roster to bust it up for one player. No denying Kobe's ability but the Lakers would be asking for at least 3 very talented players who haven't even hit their prime yet for one who is in his prime and whose health isn't what it used to be.

k11: You are right, I guess I am playing the optimist but honestly I really believe Paxon is building in a good direction. I mean not every team can be like the Heat did and build it all in one year. I don't think Randolph would fit into Chicago's locker room mentality because he is not defnsive minded. Collison could work but the Sonics shouldn't ask too much for him. I still stick with my theory that our only hole is a scoring big man which we can fill with the draft. Our other biggest enemy is inexperience and we are pushing farther in the playoffs every year. To each his own opinion tho. I have faith in Paxon tho, I feel he is doing exactly what Joe D did in Detroit, which by the way took time

I can't think of many other players who can come in the top 5 in the league in rebounding from the sf position, guard the 1-4 spots on the floor (ie Duncan and Parker in the Spurs series), get to the hole with consistency and score 15-18 without plays called for him, just filling lanes, getting to open spots and rebounding. Now, is he worth 16.4 mil? Not sure, is he worth it to the Suns, in the Suns system yes. If he goes somewhere else that may not have as good of a point guard or as fast paced a system will he do the same things, not sure. I think in the NBA its all about finding the system u fit into best and staying there. THe Suns put themselves in this hole by signing 3 players to max deals and now having to take care of Barbosa.

I think Spencer Hawes as well as Roy Hibbert would fit great with the present Bulls, no need for trades, just resign Noc, and extend Deng and Gordon. We can get a great Big in the draft. Its not like the Bulls bottomed out in the playoffs, they swept the HEat and then lost a 6 game series, which could have been a 7 game series to the very good Pistons team had they not blown the first half lead in Game 3.

This would be one of the only situations where I could see both teams benefitting, whoever gets KG should benefit and If the T Wolves could swing it to get Oden and Conley then they have a legit building project with potential. I know the NBA is whole different game then college and High School but these two have won at both levels and provided results.

I don't know that there is a superstar out there you could get for Garnett, he has 3-5 good years left but only one year left on his contract...the Wolves no matter how bad they want it will notget equal what they give up in a KG deal. I think it will look like the Barkley deal to Phoenix if people remember that one.
