Settle down, buddy. We didn't need you to remind us that FSU was good in the 90s. We remember.
That being said, even if Bobby keeps his wins, Joe will always be the king in my book (and many other people's) because Bobby's first 30 wins or so came at Samford. Joe has been at PSU the whole time, playing good competition the entire time.
I like Bobby Bowden and I'd love to have a beer with him some time, but I don't see how you can compare the two considering the Samford "wins".
Look at how the pump the NBA playoffs. The NBA playoffs are a joke, we all know there are only two teams that can win, but they analyze every series as if it's the Super Bowl in order to drum up interest.
They'd do the same for the NHL if it was in their interest.
Plus, I don't think anybody is scared of WVU, what with Pat White graduated and Bill Stewart at the helm. Bill Stewart is HORRIBLE!!! Unfortunately, that idiot will drive the program into the ground in five years. I honestly believe that, and I have no ill will toward WVU. I've been to games there and almost went to college there. I actually root for WVU, but Bill Stewart was an ATROCIOUS hire.
Preston Parker. Maybe I'll keep your name out of my mouth when we get some fair and balanced reporting, because FSU is and always will be the model correctional facility of college football. It's funny how last season, when half of the seminoles' roster was busted for cheating, nobody wrote anything like this, mostly because that's expected from Free Shoes University.
Parker got busted with a bigass sack of weed (not coke, sorry) and a loaded .45 on his dash, but he only got suspended for two games. Meanwhile, Penn State just kicked Chris Baker and Phil Taylor, guys who were going to help them this season, off the team for fights.
FSU is in such worse shape than PSU, but people want to crucify PSU because it's never been like this before.
And anybody from the Pittsburgh area who follows college sports knows how unbalanced the PG and TRIB are when it comes to PSU vs. Pitt, WVU. Barely a mention was made last year when LeVance Fields tried to steal a cop's gun when he was drunk underage last year. He wasn't even suspended.
Then, Monday night Joe Mazzulla and Cam Thoroughman (WVU BBall players) got busted for underages at the Pirate game, resisting arrest, and Mazzulla punched a cop in the head, but THIS was the column that the PG ran today. Hmmmmm....
Every one of the charges against PSU players has been either underage drinking or fighting. Also, half of those charged in the supposed "brawl" had the charges dropped because they were trying to break up the fight, which totally distorts those figures mentioned above.
Not that it excuses the other guilty parties, but come on. SEC schools and FSU get guys shot, busted with or selling hard drugs and they focus on Penn State? Why? Because a program which was held to a higher standard in the past has fallen into the same problems as everyone else.
Also, take a minute to look at the guy who wrote this story. Bob Smizik is as old if not older than Joe Paterno.
The Rangers already have a ton of Pittsburgh's sloppy seconds and it hasn't worked to date.
Here's a though: KILL THE ****!ING PENALTIES!
FACT: The flyers are the most penalized team throughout the playoffs. What makes you think it would stop now??
Hey everyone, say what you want about Sid, but nobody can beat him or the Pens. Jealousy is a stinky cologne.
Penguins 5, Rangers 4, Final
Penguins lead series 1-0.
waaaaa waaaaaa waaaaa waaaaaa!!! YOU LOST YOU CRYBABIES!!!! GUESS WHAT?? SID'S BETTER THAN ANYBODY ON THE RANGERS AND THE PENS ARE GOING TO WIN THE SERIES!!!!
It shouldnt even have been that close of a game. If you want to talk about bad calls, how about NY's second goal. If that's not a high stick then I dont know what is.
PENS WIN!!! PENS WIN!!!!
Get used to it, this series is over in five. You Ranger fans are such whiners, what sad group of fans....
