Good question. He was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 1988, a couple of seasons after they won the Super Bowl, and he was still coaching there until right after the 1992 season. I'm still surprised they didn't do it back in '88.
The Clips are taking a big chance on being able to find a coach who can pick up when Vinnie left off, and still work for cheap. Gotta wonder if the Clips front office consulted with Chris Paul at all on that, or just took a leap.
None, although Ray Lewis is a shoo-in for first-ballot, and Urlacher will get there not long afterward. That leaves Seth Joyner and Wilbur Marshall. Surprisingly, Joyner has apparently never been nominated.
