a quarter of the active NHL players at the start of the last lockout in 04-05 never played in the NHL ever again. that is a staggering number. the players have to realize that this is a lost cause and to get the best deal possible. the owners hold all the cards..
if they can get stable ownership, management, and coaches then Columbus can workout.. it is a pretty decent sports market. John Davidson is a good start.. it's not going to be a quick fix, but if he can do the same thing as he did in St. Louis then he can turn this bumbling franchise around.

Yup.. Card's relievers won that game. Recipe for success (at least in the playoffs) is to have a stable of relievers that throw in the high 90's..
