Come on man... All fan bases have a few... LSU is known for having many. To say all are alike is just plain ignorant. Sure the interception may have been but it was not obvious. There are a lot of things that can happen in almost any game. Just like the completion on our first drive of the game that was called incomplete but the review booth was down. There may have been a score on that drive, no way of knowing.

I think LSU played great in that game and it was another rivalry classic just like the Vol game two weeks ago. Just like the 2007 match up when you guys won. The game is over and next week is the most important game of the season for each of us. You guys are still in the top 10 and will be in a great bowl (Cotton) if you when out. This is the SEC, tough games every week. We win some, we lose some. Here's to a fourth straight year of the SEC in the big one. I hope we make it there.

"Remember the Rose Bowl we'll win then" Roll Tide Roll!

These are the type of comments that disgrace our great state and fan base.

Congrats on the commit Aubie... Stronger players to the SEC makes for stronger competition.
Posted Wednesday December 03, 2008, About: Fulmer recruit thrilled with Kiffin
As a Tide fan and long time hater of the Vols you might expect me to be excited about the Vols getting rid of Fat Phil. Actually I was sad to see him go. I like the old traditional guys. I also enjoyed his losses. Anyway, I am confused with the quick hire of Kiffin. I can not help but see Mike Shula when I look at him. He seems like a nice guy but coaching a high profile SEC school is a tall order. I hope he does well for the Vols except on the Third Satruday in October. I would like to have seen who UT could have gotten if they would have put a little more time into it.
Posted Wednesday December 03, 2008, About: Tuberville on Auburn hot seat
Now I am a huge Tide fan and say congrats to Tuby for getting his #7 last Saturday. With that said I have to say, Tommy has been a good coach for the Barn. I don't believe that the pool of coaches avalible right now is all that great. IMO it would be best for them to wait. Keep him for another year at least. His biggest problem is not an OC or DC it is RECRUITING. He must nail this down or they could be heading into a very dark future.
Posted Wednesday December 03, 2008, About: Carroll has NFL options
I hope CPC stays at SC. It is becoming rare that you see coaches become school legends any more. I would love to see him stay another 15 years at SC. Retire as a legend like Paul Bryant, Bobby Bowden or JoePa.
Posted Thursday September 11, 2008, About: WR recruit picks 'Bama over UGA
BR549... UGA has always been my favorite team in the EAST. I was born and rasied and will die a hard core TIDE fan. I truely hope Bama can pull an upset on the Dawgs on Sept. 29th. Other than that I hope for the Dawgs to own the next NC. I am a big fan of CMR.

I have been to many venues to watch games. Fans at Bama are far from classless. You make it sound like fans were throwing glass bottles and smashing players over the head. That is not true. I was there and no bottles were involved. Bottles are not even allowed in BDS just like most sporting events. Students were throwing cups and other trash on the "dawg pile". So take it down a notch when you are sensationalizing the event.

If you think that was so terrible I suggest you take a trip and watch the Jets & Dolphins play. There is more action than 15 UFC event combined.
Posted Wednesday September 03, 2008, About: Bowden calls Saban for advice
I commend him. He swallowed his pride called up Saban, his father, Richt and others. It looks kind of silly now but if he goes 11-1 it will become the best group of phone calls he has made in 10 years.

Well after the big W the TIDE just took from Clemson, I imagine ole Vic is not saying much. Roll Tide Roll...

Yeah, times have been a little tough in Tallahassee lately. The last two years have been rock bottom for us. Fortunately, rock bottom at FSU was still good enough to smack Bama around. Rammer, Jammer!
eyesWIDEopen | 08/25/08, 08:35 PM

That's pretty funny eyesWIDE... I always show respect when it comes to FSU hence the comment that Jimbo will get you there. My Mom went to HS with your Papa Bowden and seeing how the Tide was his dream job, so I always smille when he is on TV. But if you call last year rock bottom, what are you going to call the next two. My friend Alabama has been to rock bottom and that is where FSU met them. Lets see where the Tribe is in two years and we will compare notes. Roll Tide Roll...
Posted Monday August 25, 2008, About: Spurrier making no predictions
Had to make a comment on this one. I hope USC does well this year. Spurrier should have them playing well soon enough.

As for the USC name discussion. South Carolina has been called USC for decades. Southern Cal has always until a few years ago been called SC. As any grad and they will tell you they graduated from SC. So when you want to make a statement like "the real USC" check your history first.

Anyway... SC is a power and has a rich history. I'm sure they will make it through their current injuries and have a great year as well. I expect they will once agian be crowned the PAC 10 Champ in '08.

Marve has a lot of talent. He will be great at UM. I am no Miami fan but I believe they will be back in a few short years. As far as the Coker fire being bad for them. I have to disagree. I liked Coker and think he is a great guy, but not a disipline man. Randy will be a good HS for UM. Just wait. I believe they will be back well before the Noles. Sorry FSU but Jimbo will get you there soon enough.

Enough ACC talk for me. Roll Tide Roll...
Posted Friday August 22, 2008, About: Will Irish's new D pay off?
I don't think you can count on that...they sold-the-store to give jumbo a 10 year deal (back when everybody believe the genuis stuff). You've got him for years to come.

river1075 | 08/22/08, 01:05 PM

They may not get rid of him, but I would be suprised if they pull another 3-9 or even 5-7 and he stays. Like I said I am no ND fan, but to have the talent that they have and go 3-9 is insane. ND should be better than that. Does his contract say that ND is stuck with him no matter what the out come is? Good luck to them.

That being said, heres to my team climbing the latter again. Roll Tide Roll.
Posted Friday August 22, 2008, About: UK recruit has Georgia on his mind
I hope he sticks with UK... They need his help. UGA is a great school but like he said they are stacked. UK is putting something together and I hope it works for them.
Posted Friday August 22, 2008, About: Carmel QB commits to Kentucky
Congrats to UK... This is a program I would love to see rise in the SEC EAST. They had an amazing '07 and need to rebuild a little but I think they have a good furture ahead. With the two Miss teams rising in the WEST, UK turning it around is great for the SEC. We just need Vandy to see the light. Well they have had some moments over the past few years.
Posted Friday August 22, 2008, About: Will Irish's new D pay off?
I hope ND does pull it together. I would like to see many of the schools of old put it together again. It is sad when you see storied schools fall. God knows I have watched mine drop over the past. If ND doesn't do it in '08 they will put some one else at the head of the table that can in '09 or '10 you can count on that.

Don't believe everything you read/hear in the media guys.
Posted Wednesday September 19, 2007, About: SEC recruit delays commitment
Fornacis...
I don't understand all the Bama fan hating... LSU fans started crying instantly when Saban came to T-Town. Like TideintheNW said, you should be happy with Les and glad to see a good coach back in the SEC.

You asked where we were the past four years. We were right here cheering for your team. As far as your fan loyalty comment, I don't know a team out their with fans more loyal that the Tide. We still sell out the stadium after losing season against no body teams. Try and find a Auburn fan walking the street today just after last week end or a Miami fan anywhere after last season. For that matter I live in Florida and see very few Gator fans compared to to what you see in Bama and they just won the National Title.

Be happy man, our teams have a better rivalry now. Sure you will most likely win this year but it will still be a great game just like it was last year.

Come on man can't we all just get along.

SEC Fan For Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bad typing Sorry MICHIGAN...
Posted Friday September 14, 2007, About: Miles questioned about Michigan interest
It never works. We thought the same thing at Bama. "If the Bear was only there" You have to move on. Find a good coach.

I would say pick someone other that Miles. Michagan is to good of a program to lower it's self to his cry baby level.

I would like to see a return of all the classic teams, Bama, Mich, PSU, Neb, well except ND. Sorry I just can't find any love for them.
Posted Wednesday August 08, 2007, About: Receiver recruit rolls with Tide
You Bama haters crack me up... You have no clue of the tradition and class at The Capstone.

bow2bama said exactly what I was going to write.

CrimsonTex has a great point. Many coaches (Pete Carroll, Lou Holtz, Gene Stallings, etc) left the NFL for college. People do this every day with there jobs. If another company is interested in you, do you tell everyone at your current job, NO! The only difference is these guys have a camera watching their every move and we don't.

browadcane...
You must have went to St. Thomas. I have heard that coach rant about how no one from the Tide will set foot on his campus. Give me a break... I'm sure the staff is very upset with that. Not being able to recruit out of St. Thomas in South Florida is very upsetting when you have Hoover High School just 30 miles away. Sorry man, I don't mean to seem negative. I'm sure you can imagine if it was your team and the area you lived in cried daily about your program.

My point is, it was not the first or the worst and it won't be the last.
Posted Saturday August 04, 2007, About: Will Rutgers take on Tide?
BY THE SQUARE...
The Tide has requested ND for the schedule but the pres. of ND said the Irish had just signed a schedule contract with the Big East and didn't seen any time in the near future where they could play. Looks like it will have to be a bowl game. I would like to see it too.

I think a game with Bama would give Rutgers more visibility and be great for their program. They need some high profile games right now.
